Tamim Iqbal
Tamim Iqbal is unarguably one of the best opening batsman Bangladesh has ever produced. Over the years, the left-handed batsman has consistently scored runs for his nation and even was awarded Wisden’s cricketer of the year in 2011. During ICC T20 World Cup he was the standout performer for his team.
The southpaw scored an unbeaten 83 against the Netherlands during his first match of the tournament and in the must-win encounter against Oman, he smashed 103 off just 63 balls and thus became the first Bangladesh batsman to scored a T20I century.
However, the strike is the only thing many feel that has hampered his chances of getting an IPL bid. Tamim Iqbal has a strike rate of 117.2 in the T20s which is not that much impressive. Overall in 78 matches, he has scored 1758 runs at an average of 24.08 to go with 7 half-centuries and one century.
