After the end of first double-header day in the phase 2 of IPL 2021, the point table has seen some changes. In the first match, Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals by 33 runs. Chasing a target of 155 on a slow pitch in Abu Dhabi, the Royals could manage just 121/6 despite Sanju Samson’s 70*. The second game though, was a tight one. Punjab Kings finally got a win as they successfully defended 125 runs on a difficult Sharjah wicket. Sunday’s double headers are likely to produce two enthralling contests.
The point table has turned yet again as Delhi Capitals move to the top surpassing Chennai Super Kings. Both CSK and DC have been the best teams of the season so far and with every win, the contest between the two is getting interesting. Rajasthan Royals have moved to second last after their loss to Delhi Capitals. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s narrow loss to Punjab Kings by 5 runs has further worsened their position. They have now lost 8 games and are out of the playoffs race.
