For the Delhi Capitals, the explosive opening combo of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner have now registered the highest powerplay total of Indian Premier League 2022 season after they smashed an outstanding score of 81 for no loss in the first six overs against Punjab Kings. Both Shaw and Warner looked in a terrific form and attacked the opposition bowlers right from the first ball of the run-chase. This is the fourth consecutive 50+plus opening partnership between the Delhi Capitals openers this year.

Jitesh Sharma who scored 32 runs off 23 balls was the highest scorer. For the Delhi Capitals, Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, Lalit Yadav and Axar Patel finished with two wickets each.

In reply, David Warner and Prithvi Shaw took complete advantage of the powerplay taking the bowlers to cleaners. Prithvi played an explosive knock of 41 runs off just 20 balls while David Warner remained unbeaten after hitting his third consecutive half-century in IPL 2022. Delhi Capitals chased down the target in just 10.3 overs.
