2nd One-day, North-South Series, 2018 Match Preview
In the second match of North-South Series, North and South lock horns at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. South will be eyeing series wrap in the fixture, having won the first by a comfortable margin of 63 runs.
In the series opener, it was Nick Gubbins’ show who cracked a fantastic hundred to help South post a big total of 347 on the board. North batsmen did get starts, but kept on losing wickets at the regular intervals, to fall short of the target. Apart from Gubbins’ ton, the other highlight of the first game was an excellent 5-fer by Saqib Mahmood but even that effort was vain and could not keep South from posting a huge total.
From North’s point of view, this is an important fixture as one more slip up here will be curtains for them.
