Controversies

  • During the 2005 tour of South Africa, Dwayne Bravo accused Graeme Smith of directing a racial slur. The charges were probed but in case of no evidence, Smith was acquitted. He demanded an apology from the West Indian which he refused.
  • Due to a long-standing tussle between WICB and the players association, West Indian side, led by Bravo, left the 2014 India tour midway. He was subsequently dropped from the 2015 World Cup squad.
