RCB Playing 11: Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore have suddenly slumped with two back-to-back losses and they will next face the table-toppers Gujarat Titans. The match will take place this Saturday at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai (3:30 PM).
Royal Challengers Bangalore are struggling with the batting. None of the top 4 have been able to contribute effectively and skipper Faf du Plessis pointed out the same in the post-match presentation of the last match against Rajasthan Royals. Virat Kohli is struggling with form, whereas, Glenn Maxwell, as always, has been irresponsible with his shot selections and not putting money on his wicket.
Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore have never locked horns against each other.

Only lower-order has been consistent for RCB so far. Royal Challengers Bangalore’s lower-order led by Dinesh Karthik has been the savior in all RCB wins this season. Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik have been leading the way for the team in the lower order, but the top-order needs to step up and contribute effectively to gain some confidence going deep in the competition.
Suyash Prabhudesai or Mahipal Lomror, who should be in the eleven? Suyash Prabhudesai has been given enough chances in the eleven but the all-rounder from Goa is yet to make an impact. Should RCB stick with him to bat at No 5 or they should go for someone like Mahipal Lomror who has been warming the bench this entire season so far? Mahipal is a clean striker of the cricket ball and is a handy left-arm spinner as well. He showed a glimpse of his prowess last season playing for Rajasthan Royals and it’s high time for RCB team management to give him some game time.

The team management can’t afford to drop the out of form Virat Kohli, but they surely can bench Suyash Prabhudesai for Mahipal Lomror.
