Who won today’s IPL match?: It was battle of the south in the Match 49th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at MCA Stadium in Pune. After suffering three straight losses, it was a win for the Far du Plessis side as they thumped the Men in Yellow by 13 runs to register their 6th win of the season. With this win, they enter the top 4 and made their case strong for playoffs.
Asked to bat first, RCB came out all guns blazing as openers Virat Kohli (30) and Faf du Plessis (38) came out all guns blazing and scored 62 runs for the opening partnership. But after that they had a mini collapse and saw them tumbling at 123/4. Mahi Lomror played a decent knock of 42 runs and a finish by Dinesh Karthik (26*) helped RCB post a total of 173 runs on the board. Maheesh Theekshana starred with the ball for his side and returned with the figures of 3/27.

Chasing the target, CSK openers Ruturaj Gaikwad (28) and Devon Conway () yet agains gave them a decent start and scored 54 runs for the partnership. But they lost Robin Uthappa (1) and Ambati Rayudu (10) to see themselves reeling at 75/3. Moeen Ali then played a decent innings and kept his side in hunt with his 34-run knock. After that it was RCB as they displayed a brilliant death bowling and closed the match comfortably by 13 runs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Harshal Patel was awarded Player of Match in today’s encounter against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Pune. The right-hander put on a show of staggering display of death bowling and returned with the figures of 3/35. He removed the likes of Ranvindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, who was going great guns, and Dwaine Pretorius to his side win the match by 13 runs.
