After winning the toss and opting to field first, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain gave an important update that Virat Kohli will open the batting in this crucial today IPL match against Rajasthan Royals. Faf mentioned that Virat will move up the order in the RCB batting while Rajat Patidar who replaces Anuj Rawat will bat in the middle-order. This big decision comes after the right-hander was dismissed for back-to-back golden ducks against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants.

“We will bowl first. There will be a bit in it early on and we’ll look to exploit it tonight. You have to go past it (68), it’s just about getting to the playoffs, it’s not how you get there. One change for us – Rajat comes in for Anuj Rawat with Virat going to the top. We want him to get going right at the top, want to see the real Virat play. This is a new game, new day and well have to play well,” said RCB captain Faf du Plessis during the toss.
