England, UAE, and Sri Lanka in contention of hosting IPL 2021

Other than the T20 World Cup, having the second half of the IPL 2021 is also of paramount importance for the BCCI. As per several reports and sources, there is a possibility of the remaining 31 fixtures being hosted in England, considering the fact that the Indian cricket team will be in the United Kingdom for close to three months.

Although, the people would be allowed in stadiums and gate money could lead to revenue, the cost and logistics of having an IPL in England could be heavy. As a result of that, venues such as the UAE and Sri Lanka will also be discussed.

Nevertheless, we can expect the star studded league to return somewhere down the line this year, as per BCCI’s determination.
