Kumar Kartikeya IPL 2022: In a big breaking news development, left-arm spinner Kumar Kartikeya Singh has been drafted into the Mumbai Indians (MI) squad in place of pace bowler Arshad Khan who has been ruled out for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) season. Arshad who was yet to play a single game in the ongoing tournament, sustained an injury and will now miss the remaining IPL 2022. The Mumbai Indians are yet to open their winning account in this T20 competition having suffered as many as 8 consecutive losses.
Kumar Kartikeya was born on 26 December, 1997 in Kuwasi, Sultanpur and has played all of his domestic cricket for the Madhya Pradesh state team so far. He made his T20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in March 2019 against Sikkim. While having played as many as 8 T20 matches, Kartikeya has picked up 9 wickets at a fine economy of less than 6.
In a total of 9 first-class matches, Kumar Kartikeya Singh has taken as many as 35 wickets. The left-arm spinner has also scalped 18 List A wickets at an economy of 4.08.
