Unlike last year, Arsenal have made a winning start to the new season. There is a lot of optimism surrounding the club, exuded by the belief that the new signings will propel the club back into the perch it used to dance upon.

Their next test comes against Burnley, who themselves picked up a stunning opening day victory to kick start the season, beating Southampton 3-0 at Turf Moor.

ARS vs BUR Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Unai Emery still has a lot of work to do with the squad at his disposal. The first and foremost is to slot the new signings into the playing 11. But time is a luxury in this league, a defeat can deflate both the ambitions and morale of the team, leaving any team behind and in the chasing pack.

While Arsenal can’t afford to be behind their rivals, not at this early in the season.

While for Burnely, they are just 37 points behind now from meeting their main target of the season, which is the magical 40 points mark.

Team News:

Arsenal:

  • Hector Bellerin is nearing a return after missing the whole of the last season due to a serious knee injury. But the 24-year-old is still a few weeks away from making a successful return.
  • Kieran Tierney has stepped up his rehabilitation from an injury but won’t be involved, like his new teammates Konstantinos Mvropanos and Emile Smith Rowe who are also out due to injuries.
  • New Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka suffered a knock during the 1-0 win over Newcastle United last weekend and will be assessed.
  • Centre-back Rob Holding has stepped up his recovery but this game may have come too soon for him.
  • Mesut Ozil and Mohamed Elneny are lacking match fitness and may not be involved.
  • Alexandre Lacazette was not used in the last game but is expected to start against Burnley.
  • Nicolas Pepe is in line to make his first full debut against Burnely, as should be Dani Caballos.
  • If the duo starts, Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock could be on the bench.

Burnley:

  • Steven Defour is ruled out for the visitors, while new arrival Daniel Drinkwater is still a few weeks away from regaining full fitness.
  • Roby Brady and Charlie Taylor will be monitored before the game.
  • With no fresh injury concerns, little reasons are for Sean Dyche to flirt with the playing 11 which thumped Southampton 3-0 in the opening game.

ARS vs BUR Dream11 Grand League Picks for Captains & Vice-Captains:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: The way he finished his goal in the last game, tells a great deal about his poaching abilities. His record at the Emirates Stadium is good and we back him to be in the thick of things here as well.

Last season’s stats:

  • Games: 49
  • Goals: 31
  • Assists: 07

Alexandre Lacazette: The former Lyon striker is another supremely talented forward player on Arsenal’s roster. He wasn’t used in the last game, but expect that to change here, which means a chance for him to get either a goal or an assist.

Last season’s stats:

  • Games: 45
  • Goals: 18
  • Assists: 10

Nicolas Pepe: Arsenal’s record signing will be in contention for a place in the starting 11. He is a heck of a good player, always a threat out on the wings, while his passing is good as well.

Last season’s stats:

  • Games: 38
  • Goals: 22
  • Assists: 11

Ashley Barnes: The 29-year-old scored twice in the first game as he helped his time down Southampton 3-0. Set-pieces or the direct runs, he will be a threat.

Last season’s stats:

  • Games: 37
  • Goals: 12
  • Assists: 02

ARS vs BUR Dream11 Grand League Teams:

  • Burnley are a good team at the back, with the likes of Ben Mee and James Tarkowski making the Clarets a very tough nut to crack. Selecting the duo is a good option considering it gives the Dream11 players leverage to go with more Arsenal player in the midfield and attacking areas.
  • That said, Arsenal are at home and are more likely to keep a clean sheet than the visitors. Go with Bernd Leno as your Goalie.
