Chelsea Team News:

  • Center-back Antonio Rudiger will miss out on the final due to injury.
@Twitter
  • Youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi’s season was cut short by an Achilles injury. He has had a successful surgery and will miss the start of the next season as well.
  • Perhaps the biggest blow was the injury to midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek who suffered a ruptured Achilles in the friendly game against New England Revolution. The 23-year-old could be out for a year.
  • Manager Maurizio Sarri has labeled N’Golo Kante as only 50-50 for the final due to the knee injury. The former Leicester City star missed Chelsea‘s last two competitive games with the same problem.

Possible ins or outs of this game:

  • With Rudier out, Andreas Christensen is expected to start at the back with David Luiz.
  • Right-back will be occupied by the captain Cesar Azpilicueta, but the opposite flank has more than one options. Emerson Palmieri has been used at the left-back more frequently at the back-end of the season, while Marcos Alonso may be better going forward, the 24-year-old is safer as a defensive player. Expect the 24-year-old Italian to start the match.

  • Another selection headache for Sarri is the forward position. Olivier Giroud has started all of Chelsea’s games in the Europa League this season and is the joint top-scorer in the competition, while Gonzalo Higuain has been preferred in the Premier League.
  • The false nine is an option as well but we expect Sarri to go with a striker here. In that case, Eden Hazard will start on the left flank, while Pedro is expected to play on the opposite flank.

Probable XI: Kepa (GK), Azpilicueta, Christensen, Luiz, Emerson, Kovacic, Jorginho, Barkley, Pedro, Hazard, Giroud

Arsenal:

  • As far as the injuries are concerned, Centre-back Rob Holding, wing-back Hector Bellerin and playmaker Aaron Ramsey will miss the match.
  • While Arsenal have confirmed that Henrik Mkhitaryan will not travel with the squad for the final due to safety reasons.

  • Danny Welbeck could be in line to make a comeback here after making a successful return to the training. Though, he will most probably start from the bench.
  • Petr Cech started all of Arsenal’s Europa League games this season and will hope to start ahead of Bernd Leno in Baku in what will be his final game for Arsenal.
  • Granit Xhaka will definitely start in the central midfield. while either Mattéo Guendouzi or Lucas Torreira will play alongside him. For us, the latter looks to be ahead in the order.
  • Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi will vie for a pace in the attack, while Nacho Monreal and Shkodran Mustafi will be looking to start at the back which will most likely be a three-man defense.

——————————————————————————————————————————————

Probable XI: Cech (GK), Sokratis, Koscielny, Monreal, Maitland-Niles, Torreira, Xhaka, Kolasinac, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
With Eden Hazard‘s protracted move to Real Madrid expected to go ahead this summer, the Belgian international will be motivated to end his Chelsea career on a high.

The motivation is not the only factor to name him your star player in this game. In terms of talent, he will be the biggest player on the pitch. With Arsenal’s flickering backline, expect him to be on the top of his game at Baku Olympic Stadium.

In addition, the 28-year-old has racked up impressive numbers this season. Take a look-

  • Games: 62
  • Minutes played: 4,150
  • Goals: 26
  • Assists: 18
  • Shots per Goal: 2.3
  • Passing%: 85
  • Man of the matches: 18

One of the aspects of the Dream11 point system is a number of times a player touches the ball. Expect Hazard to boss that department here.

Kante is a doubt, but if he is fit, select him in your squad. For the goalkeeping position, we advise Kepa, for he is in great form. His passing is good as well.

The X-factor – Arsenal’s midfield for sure. The tenacity of Granit Xhaka, his interception, and the tackling could prove to be a game-changer if he manages to pull his real game off in this match.

While not to mention that he is one of the best players in sending the long balls to the feet of his teammates. He will be in the game, that’s for sure.

Suggested combination:

Goalkeeper: Kepa
Defenders: Koscielny, Monreal, David Luiz, Azpilicueta
Midfielders: Pedro, Barkley, Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil
Forwards: Hazard (C), Lacazette (VC)
