ARS vs TOT Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
The fiercest North London rivals stand in each other’s ways for the League Cup glory as Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium in the quarterfinals of Football League Cup, tomorrow on Wednesday night (IST).
The true nature of English Football dawned upon Unai Emery at the Weekend against a team from the South Coast which was under a new manager, was reeling in the relegation zone and came into the match with just one win under their belt all season.
Southampton hosted Arsenal at the Saint-Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League, looking for an unlikely win. The Gunners were on a 22 game unbeaten run and were labelled as an out-and-out favourite to collect all the three points on offer.
But it’s Premier League, arguably the most competitive and the famous football league in the world. And for many reasons. One of it is the unpredictability, which Emery endured as his club ended up losing in a thrilling 3-2 encounter against the Saints.
Now with the unbeaten run done and dusted, Emery was quoted as saying that his team must kill these kinds of games if they are to finish in the top-4. But this is the Premier League and you can’t be sure about anything at all.
Now Arsenal have a perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways as they host Tottenham. There are certainly stakes, not the three points but a chance to move closer to win a trophy.
Emery has to make some decisions which start from the backline. The central partnership between Granit Xhaka and Stephan Lichtsteiner didn’t work at the weekend. Sokratis Papastathopoulos will be returning from the suspension, and thus may start at the back.
For Mauricio Pochettino, this is a golden opportunity to end club’s barren run in the trophy department. Not since 2008 that the club won any silverware and now they have the opportunity to go a step closer as they face Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Football League Cup.
Spurs’ success is quite incredible, to say the least. It’s unthinkable how Pochettino can even sustain such high standards both in the Premier League and the club competitions without spending even a penny. No wonder, he is the hottest property in the world right now and it’s been reported that both Real Madrid and Manchester United are in the race for his signature come the next season.
At the moment, Spurs are 3rd in the table and despite Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the season and the ever-growing Manchester City’s perfection, Tottenham are only six points off the pace. Considering the form of Spurs, by no means, they can be regarded as an outsider in the title race.

Tottenham Hotspur– Vorm (GK), Davies, Foyth, Alderweireld, Walker-Peters, Skipp, Winks, Lucas, Alli, Son, Kane
ARS vs TOT Dream11 FANTASY TEAM:
Both the teams will be without some key players. The festive period is just starting but don’t expect either manager to rest their key players.
Kane and Lacazette both are expected to lead the lines for their respective clubs and they are also our captain and vice-captain as well.
In the midfield, Ozil and Ramsey have been used sporadically, so you can expect both the players to start this match. While Winks is Spurs’ most improved player and will be itching for a start in this fixture.
At the back, both the sides are hit badly. Koscielny and Sokratis should start while Ben Davies provide width on the wing.
Slightly in favour of Spurs considering their performances in the last few games which they had to win and ended up winning. So the confidence should be high.
Son and Kane both are in our attack with Aubameyang replacing Lacazette
INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:
This is the 2nd instalment of the North London Derby of this season. The first was a humdinger, which ended in a 4-2 win for Arsenal.
We are backing Gunners to win the match.
