BRZ vs PER Dream11 Match Preview, Team News, Lineups

It's the top of the table clash in Group C as Brazil play Peru in a potential round-of-16 clincher at Corinthians Arena.

Group A:

  • The first match is always difficult, with the nerves, adrenaline of representing your country and the pressure to meet the expectations all playing a big part in a player's performance. The hosts got the better of every emotion in Game-1 though, starting the tournament with a straightforward 3-0 win over Bolivia.
  • But Brazil were substandard in game-2, as far as finishing or taking a decision in the final 3rd is concerned. No wonder, the home bans booed off their own team after the final whistle against Venezuela at Fonte Nova Arena. The game ended in a stalemate, despite Tite's team seeing almost 70% of the ball.

  • But Brazil are on course to secure a last-16 berth, the first target of the team. A win over Peru in their final game will see them top the Group A.
  • Peru brought their campaign back on track after a 0-0 draw in the opening game, winning 1-3 against Bolivia.

  • Gareca did make one change in Game-2, replacing Christofer Gonzáles in the midfield with more attack-minded Andy Polo. It what was a tactical move which saw Yoshimar Yotún moving in a little behind in the midfield. Expect the same tactics from Peru in this match.
  • One player who could give the manager food some selection headache is Edison Flores, who came off the bench to score a goal in the last game.

Peru Probable XI: Gallese (GK), Advincula, Zambrano, Abram, Trauco, Yotun, Tapia, Polo, Farfan, Cueva, Guerrero

Brazil team News:

  • Neymar remains out inured and will be missing the whole tournament with an ankle ligament injury. The PSG star is the only player who is missing from Tita's final 23-man squad for the Copa America squad. Willian has been named as his replacement.

  • Forwards: Everton, David Neres, Richarlison, Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus

Possible ins or outs of this game:

  • No changes are expected at the back. If there is any, it will most probably come at the left-back. In that case, Éder Militão may replace Filipe Luiz, but it's highly unlikely.
  • Fernandinho and Casemiro started against Bolivia, but Tite went with the fit-again Arthur for Game-2, with Manchester City player dropping down to the bench. Expect Casemiro and Arthur to start again.
