Jurgen Klopp’s men make a trip down to the North-West as Liverpool take on Burnley in an away fixture in the Premier League this weekend.

The reigning European Champions are the only team in the Premier League this season with a 100% winning record, and no doubt will want nothing else than a win from this game as he looks to keep Manchester City at bay in this early stage of the season.

Burnley, meanwhile, lost earned a well-deserved point from the trip to Wolverhampton as they played out a 1-1 draw at Molineaux Stadium.

The Premier League match will be played between Burnley and Liverpool at Turf Moor, in Burnley, Lancashire, England. The ground has a capacity of 22,546.

Burnley Team News:

  • Sean Dyche was quite optimistic about Johann Berg Gudmundsson‘s injury issue, which at first looked serious enough to keep the player out for a significant period. But Dyche said that he expects the 28-year-old Icelandic to return from the injury after the international break. So he is out of this game.
  • Robbie Brady has made progress in his recovery from a rib injury, but remains out at this moment, along with Steven Defour.

Possible INs and OUTs of this game:

  • Aaron Lennon is the likeliest player to replace Johann Berg Gudmundsson in the playing 11.
  • Daniel Drinkwater made his first appearance as a Burnley player in the Carabao Cup 2nd round tie against Sunderland. But both Ashley Westwood and Jack Cork looked solid in the central midfield, and Dyche is not known for flirting with an established system.
  • While Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood will once again lead the lines for the Clarets.

  • Nathaniel Clyne is also a long-term injury absentee.
  • Jurgen Klopp revealed that Naby Keita is nearing a return but is most likely to come into the playing 11 only after the international break.

Possible ins or outs of this game:

  • Adrian will once again keep the gloves for the Reds.
  • Either Joel Matip or Joe Gomez will partner the newly-crowned European player of the year Virgil Van Dijk at the back.
  • Fabinho walks straight into the playing 11 these days, while Jordan Henderson, being the club captain, will start as well. So Geroginio Wijnaldum, James Milner and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain will fight for the remaining one spot.
