CHE vs SOU Dream11 Match Prediction

CHE vs SOU Dream11: Chelsea will look to maintain the momentum gained from the 0-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend when they take on a resurgent Southampton team at Stamford Bridge on the Boxing Day. The Saints are fresh off winning a huge six-pointer against Aston Villa, a result that pulled them clear of the relegation zone for the time being.

Form and recent results!

Chelsea:

  • Chelsea lost four times in the five games prior to facing the former boss Jose Mourinho and city rivals Tottenham Hotspur. The pressure was firmly on the Blues to deliver, and Frank Lampard’s men did just that, producing perhaps the best performance of their season.
  • The win helped Chelsea pull itself six points clear of Spurs in the top-four race.
  • But there’s no time to revel on the past results as Chelsea have a tough run-in. After the Southampton game, Chelsea makes a short trip within London to tackle Arsenal, followed by another road trip, this time against Graham Potter’s Seagulls.

Southampton:

  • Southampton have three wins in the last five games. This is by far the best return for them all season. As mentioned above, Southampton beat Aston Villa 1-3 at VillaPark at the weekend and moved three points clear of the relegation zone
  • That said, the danger of relegation looms large over Ralph Hasenhüttl’s men with the tough fixture list making the task even tougher for the head coach.
  • Saints will be facing Chelsea, Leicester City, Wolves, Crystal Palace twice and Liverpool in the next seven Premier League games.
