EVE vs TOT Dream11 Match Prediction

Everton will host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at Goodison Park in a matchup between two teams who have endured a very difficult season to date. The Toffees are even in more trouble after Saturday’s fixtures saw them drifting down on the points table to 17th, leaving them only two points away from the relegation zone.

No wonder Marco Silva is feeling the heat. For a team which was built on a huge transfer budget, with the top-six the minimum target at the start of the season, flirtation with relegation is just not acceptable. The former Watford manager knows that Everton are a big club, and the owners and the fans can support a manager only so much. The fortunes must change for both Silva and Everton to continue to grow.

Tottenham Hotspur can empathize with Everton, for they are underperforming for quite some time now. In fact, Spurs have collected just 22 points from the last 23 league games – an average which may not keep them in the top-flight.

Spurs’ away form is even more concerning. You have to go back to January 2019 for Spurs’ last victory on the road. That said, Spurs can take some heart from the fact that their last trip to Goodison Park resulted in a 6-2 win in December last year.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur Team News:

Everton will evaluate Yerry Mina, who was hobbled off against Watford in midweek Carabao Cup fourth-round match because of an ongoing knee problem.

Bernard is set to spend time in the treatment room after damaging knee ligaments last weekend, while Jean-Philippe Gbamin remains out injured.

Likely changes!

Bernard has been in good form for Everton, so his absence will be felt. Marco Silva will be making some changes as a result. The most likely scenario is a proper striker in the playing 11. Richarlison has been playing as the furthest man forward for Everton of late, with Theo Walcott and Bernard providing the wing.

But with Bernard out, Ricaharlison is expected to play on the flank, with either Moise Keane or Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the attack.

If Yerry Mina is not fit enough to play, Mason Holgate will partner Michael Keane at the back.

Tottenham Hotspur will be without left-back Danny Rose as the England international serves a ban for the accumulation of yellow cards.

Captain Hugo Lloris is out for a long-term, while Erik Lamela is expected to miss this week’s clash against Everton due to a thigh injury. The latter is expected to be fit for the next week.

Ryan Sessegnon could make his debut here after training with the first team this week, but Jan Vertonghen could miss the game.

Likely changes:

Mauricio Pochettino surprised everyone with his team selection for Liverpool game last week. The in-form midfielder, Tanguy N’dombele was left out of the playing 11, while Christian Eriksen started the game as a right-winger.

We expect Pochetino to go with a more familiar formation here. N’dombele should start, while Giovani Lo Celso looking for a rare start as well.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur probable playing 11:

Everton: Pickford (GK), Sidibe, Keane, Mina, Digne, Delph, Gomes. Walcott, Iwobi, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin

Tottenham Hotspur: Gazzaniga (GK), Davies, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Aurier, Alli, Winks, Sissoko, Son, Eriksen, Kane

Fantasy Picks:

Harry Kane: The England international is a top-notch striker, who can influence the game both with his passing and goals.

Richarlison: His form is gone a bit kinky of late, you never know what to expect. But the Brazil international is perhaps the most gifted player in Everton’s team. He will be eying for a prize scalp with his team.

Son Heung-min: Spurs’ early goal against Liverpool was all his making. In fact, he could have got himself a goal or two had he not been denied by the crossbar.

Arsenal factor: Everton have former Gunners Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi on their roster, with the former boasting some good goals against Spurs.
