MCFC vs FCG Dream11 Match Prediction

MCFC vs FCG Dream11: With Chennaiyin FC dropping points in the 0-0 home draw against champions Bengaluru FC, Mumbai City FC know they can move seven points clear of 5th placed Chennai when they pay visit to FC Goa in a crunch Indian Super League (ISL) match at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Fatorda Stadium) on Wednesday evening (IST).
That said, even if Mumbai win at Goa, Chennai will have two more games to bridge that gap and can still finish above them on the points table. That’s why this is a very important game for Jorge Costa and his men, for even a draw will take their playoff destiny out of their hands, handing the advantage to Chennai in the playoff race.
But Mumbai should fancy their chances, even though they will be on the road against an in-form Goan team. The reason being, they are themselves in good touch, having won three times in the last four games.
Goa, meanwhile, are already through to the playoffs and will look at their remaining two games to test the bench strength, or give fringe players some minutes. They are on a three-game winning run and boast the best return in home games having won six times in 8 games.

  • FC Goa have a clean bill of health ahead of the home game against Mumbai.
  • With Goa flying high at the moment, scoring goals for fun, they have no reasons whatsoever to flirt with the playing 11.

How FC Goa may line-up?

  • Midfielder Edu Bedia should return to the matchday squad after missing Goa’s 4-1 home win over Hyderbada FC in the last game. He may replace Ahmed Jahouh in the playing 11.
  • Other than above-mentioned chance, we expect Goa to be more or less the same as in the last game.
  • Ferrán Corominas will lead the attack, while Seriton Fernandes, Mourtada Fall, Carlos Pena and Mandar Rao Desai should form the backline.

FC Goa key players:

  • Ferran Corominas: Who else but the reigning Golden Boot holder. He has been Goa’s talisman ever since he arrived on these Shores. Once again, he is Goa‘s leading scorer with 11 goals and is one goal shy of ISL top-scorer Nerijus Valskis.
  • Hugo Boumous: He is in red-hot form at the moment. he scored twice in the last match and set up one for Corominas.
  • Mandar Rao Desai: Goa’s left-back is a quality player who can deliver good crosses into the final third and had an eye for a key pass as well.

Mumbai City FC team news:

  • The Islanders have some issues in this department as they are without three first-team players for the trip to Goa.
  • Serge Kevyn and Sarthak Golui remain out with injuries for the visitors.
  • But the biggest set-back for the Mumbaikars is the suspension of striker Amine Chermiti, who picked up his fourth booking of the season in Mumbai’s 2-1 home win over Jamshedpur FC.

How Mumbai City FC may line-up?

  • Mumbai will have their star player Modou Sougou back from suspension and he may start as the furthest man forward for the visitors due to Chermiti’s suspension.
  • Bidyananda Singh and Sourav Das battle for a place in the midfield.

Mumbai City FC key players:

  • Modou Sougou: Mumbai’s leading goal scorer last season. He missed games at the start of the season due to injuries, but he is back to full fitness now and is scoring goals as well.
  • Diego Carlos: The 31-year-old Brazilian is definitely a danger man. He is good on the ball, and never shies away from having a pop at the goal.
