Napoli will be looking to bury the disappointment of Europa League when they welcome Atalanta in Serie A on Easter Monday at Stadio San Paolo, in Naples, on Monday night (IST).

Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival in Naples was met with high expectations by the Napoli fans, who saw him as a perfect fit to take the club forward. There were legitimate talks of Napoli running Juventus close in the title race at the start of the season.

For a few weeks, the Naples managed to keep Juve within reachable margins. But the Old Lady’s relentless run, coupled with Napoli’s own inconsistency saw them fall behind in the title race.

But six matches to go, Napoli have nothing to play for. They are destined to end the season trophyless. Juventus have wrapped up the title long before they were expected, while Carlo Ancelotti’s team saw their adventure in the other competitions coming to a premature end as well.
