ORN vs SO Dream11 Match Preview, Team News, Lineups

Bottom-placed clubs FC Orenburg and PFC Sochi will play each other in the first game of round-6, with both the teams looking for their first win of the 2019 Russian Premier League season.

It’s understandable to some degrees that PFC Sochi are struggling to cope with the demand of the top division, having come to existence only in June 2018.

But Orenburg’s current situation is a shocker as not only they are a settled club, but a better start was expected from them after finishing the last season at a commendable 7th position.

It may be too early in the season but the game carries six points for either team.

Orenburg Team News:

  • Thirty-year-old right-back Andrei Malykh remains sidelined with an Achilles tendon injury.
  • Centre-back Edi Gutliv and midfielder Nikita Malyarov both suffered injuries during the 2-2 draw against Tambov and remain doubtful.
  • In addition, the hosts could once again be without Georgi Zotov. The 29-year-old left-winger, who arrived on-loan from PFC Krylia Sovetov this summer, missed the last match due to an injury and is listed as a doubt ahead of this game.

Possible INs and OUTs of this game:

  • Orenburg let a good opportunity pass last weekend and it was mostly down to the defensive blunders.
  • That’s why head coach Vladimir Fedotov may once again make changes to his starting 11, or a different formation could be named here as well.
  • If Edi Gutliv is not fit to start, Saveli Kozlov is likely to come in what should be a 3-man backline.
  • Đorđe Despotović is fit now and may start the match ahead of Andrea Chukanov.
  • Vadim Afonin may be named as a replacement for Nikita Malyarov if the latter fails to recover from the knock.

Orenburg Probable XI:

Rudenko (GK), Sivakov, Shakhov, Kozlov, Kulishev, Afonin, Miskic, Ricardo Alves, Terekhov, Fameyeh, Despotovic

PFC Sochi FC Team News:

  • Maksim Barsov is the only player injured for PFC Sochi at the moment.

Possible ins or outs of this game:

  • PFC Sochi’s splurge in the transfer market continues to swell as they signed Anton Zabolotny from FC Zenit. The 28-year-old forward is in contention to lead the line for his new club.
  • While defender Valery Pochivalin has left the club for FNL side FC Khimki this week.
  • Ivan Miladinovic faces a long ban after breaking Fyodor Chalov’s nose last weekend. Though any decision regarding the suspension will be taken next Wednesday, so the 25-year-old is available for selection here.

PFC Sochi Probable XI:

Dzhanaev (GK), Novoseltsev, Yurganov, Kudryashov, Nabiullin, Lagator, Tsallagov, Christian Noboa, Margasov, Dmitriy Poloz, Zabolotny

  • Sergey Terekhov
  • Đorđe Despotović
  • Anton Zabolotny
  • Christian Noboa

Likely to score:

  • For Orenburg: Đorđe Despotović, Joel Fameyeh
  • For PFC Sochi: Anton Zabolotny, Christian Noboa

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Joel Fameyeh: The 22-year-old Ghanian broke his duck with two goals in the last game. Nothing can give a striker more confidence than the goals, and the young Ghanian will definitely be looking to add more to his tally here.

Season stats:

  • Games: 04
  • Goals: 02
  • Passing%: 79
  • Man of the Match: 01

Đorđe Despotović: Orenburg’s No-9 is the team’s main player as far as the scoring is concerned. The 27-year-old Serbian is a good option for the captain in your Dream11 teams.

Season stats:

  • Games: 05
  • Minutes: 450
  • Goals: 02
  • Passing%: 70

Sergey Terekhov: Much of Orenburg’s struggles are down to the inconsistency shown by their creative players this season, and amongst them is the 29-year-old Sergey Terekhov. He can certainly play better than he did in the first five games of the season.

Anton Zabolotny: Not only PFC Sochi have failed to win in the first five games, but they are without goals as well. But the club is making noise in the transfer market, adding a host of new players to their roster, including striker Anton Zabolotny.

Season stats:

  • Games: 03
  • Goals: 01
  • Passing%: 66

Christian Noboa: One of the new arrivals was Christian Noboa. He was Sochi’s man of the match in the last game against CSKA Moscow.

Suggested combination:

ORN vs SO Dream11 potential winner:
PFC Sochi should at least get a draw here.
