SPA vs SWE Dream11 Match Preview, Fantasy Team News

Spain will eye all three points when they pay Sweden a visit for the Euro 2020 qualification match at Friends Arena. The two-time European Champions missed a golden opportunity to qualify for the Euro 2020 after a last-gasp penalty from Joshua King robbed them off all three points.

But the La Roja have another opportunity here as a win will be enough to clinch a spot at the Euro 2020 finals, while a draw will be a welcome result provided Norway beat Romania in the other match in this group.

Match Details:

The European Qualifiers match will be played between Bulgaria and England at Friends Arena, in Stockholm, Sweden. The ground has a capacity of 57,230.
The game will start at 12:15 AM (IST), on Wednesday, October 16.

Sweden Team News:

Former Leeds United center-back Pontus Jansson was forced to withdraw from the preliminary squad selected by head coach Janne Andersson, with Oscar Lewicki the 2nd player to do the same as well.

Andersson named Marcus Danielson, who plies his trade with DjurgĂĄrdens IF in Sweden, as Jansson’s replacement, while Lewicki has been replaced by Alexander Fransson.

While there are no fresh injury concerns for the hosts ahead of this game.

Likely changes:

Sweden maybe 2nd on the points table, but they face a challenge from both Romania and Norway for the Euro 2020 spot from Group F. That’s why Andersson will surely be going with his best possible 11 against mighty Spain.

That side comes close to the playing 11 which put four past Malta in the last game. So expect Robin Quaison and Marcus Berg to continue to lead the attack for Sweden.

While Emil Forsberg and Sebastian Larsson should start in the midfield on either side of Albin Ekdal and Kristoffer Olsson in the base of the midfield.

A change at the back is expected as Victor Lindelof was rested against Malta and should start alongside Andreas Granqvist in the heart of the defense. It means, Marcus Danielson, despite opening the scoring against Malta in the last game and hardly putting a foot wrong, could lose his place in Andersson’s playing 11.

Sweden to choose from:

Goalkeepers: Robin Olsen, Karl-Johan Johnsson, Kristoffer Nordfeldt
Defenders: Mikael Lustig, Andreas Granqvist (captain), Pierre Bengtsson, Filip Helander, Emil Krafth, Riccardo Gagliolo, Marcus Danielson, Victor Lindelöf
Midfielders: Muamer Tanković, Alexander Fransson, Sebastian Larsson, Albin Ekdal (vice-captain), Emil Forsberg, Gustav Svensson, Kristoffer Olsson, Ken Sema
Forwards: Marcus Berg, John Guidetti, Alexander Isak, Sebastian Andersson, Robin Quaison

Sweden Probable XI:

Robin Olsen (GK), Mikael Lustig, Andreas Granqvist, Victor Lindelof, Pierre Bengtsson, Emil Forsberg, Sebastian Larsson, Albin Ekdal, Kristoffer Olsson, Marcus Berg, Robin Quaison

Spain Team News:

Spain are without a host of superstars for this round of European qualification matches. Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba remains out due to an injury, while another left-back in the form of Valencia’s Jose Gaya is on the sidelines as well.

While Spain head coach Robert Moreno overlooked the likes of Borussia Dortmund’s Paco Alcacer and Atletico Madrid’s Mario Hermoso for this international break.

Despite missing the training ahead of the game against Norway, both Fabian Ruiz and Dani Ceballos shook off their injury problems to start the game and the duo will be pushing for another start against Sweden.

Likely changes:

Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga seems to be the first choice for Spain head-coach Robert Moreno and we expect the former Athletic Bilbao shot-stopper to start in goal ahead of Manchester United’s David De Gea.

Spain are expected to go with the same-backline which started in the last game. Though, Pau Lopez is in option at the back.

Gerard Moreno may replace Mikel Oyarzabal in the playing 11.

Spain to choose from:

Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Pau LĂłpez
Defenders: Sergio Ramos, Raúl Albiol, Jesús Navas, Dani Carvajal, Juan Bernat, Iñigo Martínez, Diego Llorente, Sergio Reguilón, Pau Torres
Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Santi Cazorla, Thiago, Saúl, Rodri, Dani Ceballos, Fabián, Pablo Sarabia, Luis Alberto
Forwards: Rodrigo, Mikel Oyarzabal, Gerard Moreno

Spain Probable XI:

Kepa (GK), Carvajal, Llorente, Ramos, Bernat, Ruiz, Busquets, Saul, Sarabia, Rodrigo, Oyarzabal / Moreno

Likely to score:

  • For Sweden: Marcus Berg, Robin Quaison, Emil Forsberg
  • For Spain: Gerard Moreno, Saul Niguez, Sergio Ramos, Mikel Oyarzabal
