When: August 28, 2019, 10:30 PM
Where: Stade Pierre-Mauroy

STE vs LIL Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

For Lille, the minimum target should be to at least emulate the last season. It’s easier said than done though, as the teams or direct rivals to be specific have only improved in this transfer window.

That said, unlike Lyon, Lille managed to hold onto their prized asset, which gives the team a level of continuity heading into this season.

While for St-Etienne, the Champions League should be the real target. But dropping points at home against the newly-promoted sides like Brest, won’t help the cause.

Team News:

Lille:

  • Xeka and Adama Soumaoro will both miss the game for the hosts.
  • While Boubakary Soumare is suspended following his red card in the last game.
  • Soumare’s red card means we may see Thiago Maia partnering Benjamin Andre in the central midfield.
  • Jose Fonte and Tiago Djaolo will both start unopposed in the heart of the defense in the absence of Adama Soumaoro.

ST-Etienne:

  • Centre-back William Saliba is set to miss the six weeks of action following knee surgery. As a result, Harold Moukoudi and Loic Perrin will both partner at the back.
  • Jean Eudes Aholou had to be subbed off in the first half against Brest after suffering an ankle injury last weekend. The 25-year-old remains an injury doubt before the game.
  • We expect Zaydou Youssouf to start alongside Yann M’Vila in the midfield.
  • Timothée Kolodziejczak is back with the club for another year, after St-Etienne agreed for a loan deal with Liga MX club Tigres UANL. The 27-year-old is expected to start at left-back.
