Tottenham Hotspur vs RB Leipzig Team News:

Tottenham Hotspur Team News:

  • Spurs suffered a big blow ahead of this game after Son Heung-Min fractured his arm at the weekend’s 3-2 win over Aston Villa where he scored twice, including a 94th-minute winner.
  • The news came as a huge blow to Spurs who are without their star striker Harry Kane with a hamstring injury.
  • Head coach Jose Mourinho fears that Son could be out for the rest of the season. “I’m not going to count on him again this season. If he plays two or three games then it’s because he is very optimistic, but I’m not counting on him,” Mourinho said about Son’s injury.
  • Spurs are without midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who is also out with a long-term injury.
  • In addition, Juan Foyth and Erik Lamela, who sat out the game at the weekend with injuries, remain doubtful for this game and will be monitored before this match.

How Tottenham Hotspur may line-up?

  • With Son Heung-Min out, Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, Dele Alli will start as front three for Spurs.
  • Harry Winks will be in the no-6 role, with either Tanguy Ndombele or Eric Dier will starting alongside him. Giovani Lo Celso is expected to start as well.
  • Ben Davies recovered from injury and played at the weekend against Villa. Whether Mourinho trusts his match fitness to start him in two consecutive games is still not clear, but he provides more solidity at the back and we expect him to start the game, with Serge Aurier on the opposite flank.
  • Davinson Sanchez was awful at times against Villa but expect him to start here, with Toby Alderweireld his partner.

Tottenham Hotspur key players:

  • Dele Alli: He has scored more goals than any other Sours player since Mourinho took charge of the team.
  • Steven Bergwijn: His pace is terrific. He is going to be a key player for Spurs.
  • Lucas Moura: With both Son and Kane out, he will be the centre of attention. And he is more than capable of leading the team.

RB Leipzig team news:

  • Leipzig have their own issues at the moment. Tyler Adams (calf), Kampl (ankle), Ibrahima Konate (hamstring), and Willi Orban (knee) are out with injuries.
  • Dayot Upamecano, meanwhile, will be missing this game with a suspension.

How RB Leipzig may line-up?

  • With Upamecano out, Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is expected to line-up with a four-man backline with Nordi Mukiele playing as a right-back. Lukas Klostermann, Marcel Halstenberg and Angelino are likely to start at the back.

RB Leipzig key players:

  • Timo Werner: He is Leipzig’s hottest property at the moment. He is likely to leave the club this summer with Bayern Munich and Liverpool his possible destination.
  • Marcel Sabitzer: He is in red-hot form at the moment. The 25-year-old Austrian has scored 12 times and has 7 assists for Leipzig this season.
