The London Derby might have brought a smile on the faces of Arsenal fans, but what has apparently followed the game might not please them too much. Dani Ceballos, on loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid, has hinted his departure from Arsenal by commenting on Hector Bellerin’s Instagram post.

Ceballos was signed on a season-long loan by Arsenal and as things stand the deal doesn’t seem to be changing into a permanent one.

Hector Bellerin had posted on Instagram after Arsenal’s draw away to Chelsea. Dani Cabellos replied to Hector Bellerin’s post saying,

“I will miss those goals with the left foot! You deserve all the good that happens to you”.

His comment is enough to hint at his possible departure when the season ends. After starting brightly for the Gunners, Ceballos never really got going and was out due to an injury for a while.

He was fit and available since a couple of weeks but Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta decided against playing him. However, Arteta stated that the loanee is a part of his plans for the season and will play a crucial role in how the season shapes up from her for the Gunners.

Fan Reactions

Arsenal fans have got very little glimpses of Ceballos on the field as he was out partly due to injuries or was shadowing Mesut Ozil and Granit Xhaka in the midfield. The fans did see what he is capable of against Burnley when he single-handedly won the game for them with two crafty assists. With his departure now all but confirmed, reactions started to pour in on Twitter from the Arsenal fans. While some admitted he was a skilled player and deserves more time to prove himself on the field, some others were happy to see him go!

A player departing always leaves a space for another one to come in. With 12 days left in the January transfer window, it would be interesting to see if Arsenal enter the market now looking for a creative midfielder.
