Manchester United’s shot-stopper David De Gea has appeared to pull his groin in a Group F,  European Qualifier round against Sweden in the Tuesday night fixture.

De Gea intended to clear the ball midway through the second half but was soon witnessed dropping on the ground in pain. Kepa Arizabalaga was soon brought in as a substitution.

Spain Go Through

The game ended in level terms with both Spain and Sweden sharing the spoils. As a result of the point gained, Spain has now qualified for the Euro 2020 with 20 points. Meanwhile. Sweden finds itself at the second spot with 15 points in the group.

Testing Times for United

It’s further bad news for Manchester United fans ahead of the upcoming fixtures. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side currently resides at the 12th spot in the Premier League with just nine points off the eight games so far.

Player fitness has also been a major concern for United with the likes of Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Eric Bailly and now David De Gea sustaining injuries.

Manchester United’s next game under dire circumstances will be one of their biggest test of the season so far as they host table-toppers, Liverpool. Getting a result is a must for Solskjaer as the pressure massively mounts on him.
