In a thrilling contest, Sam Billings and Shane Watson handed Chennai Super Kings a winning start at home. The England batsman, batting at 5, slammed 55 runs off 23 balls while Watson cracked 19-ball 42 opening the innings to help CSK chase down a towering total of 204.

In the end, it was down to 17 runs in the final over. The equation went in CSK’s favor as Vinay Kumar conceded six off the very first ball which also happened to be a no-ball. KKR could not stop the flow of runs. Jadeja smashed a six to hit the winning runs for the home side.
