Indore – Krunal Pandya and Rohit Sharma combined to put on an incredible 56-run winning partnership in just 3.3 overs to beat Kings XI Punjab at their new base in Indore, finishing the game with one over to spare.

Chasing 175, Mumbai Indians made a cautious start. Suryakumar Yadav put on an astonishing exhibition of strokeplay to lay the foundation of the chase. MI innings did stutter for a few overs in the middle phase but finished fittingly in the end.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and invited Kings XI set them a target. KXIP openers started in the usual fashion, putting on a 50+ partnership. Soon after they departed, KXIP innings struggled to get going. The shuffle in batting-order and team changes did not help KXIP’s cause a bit.
