CHI vs NYL Dream11: The WNBA season is in full flow and we have already seen some of the most riveting battles that you’d ever see. The season is past the one-third mark and there is no doubt that there are various teams that have adjusted after a slow start while others began big and have continued to be big. How will it be when the Chicago Sky will take on the New York Liberty in another exciting WNBA tussle?
The Sky has been on fire as the defending champs. They have twice more wins than losses with 8 wins and 4 losses. The Sky has won four out of their five games, they come into this game after perhaps their best win after beating the Sun 83:79 as Emma Messeman clicked on 26 points. On the other hand, New York Liberty had a slow start but has recovered well, winning four out of their five wins. Overall, they have 5 wins and 8 losses and in the last game, they beat the Fever 97:83 as Natasha Howard brought in 25 points and 10 rebounds. Can the Sky fend off an improving Liberty squad?

Liberty has improved
Sabrina Ionescu is the central figure in the Liberty offense and she sees hedges and double-teams quite a bit. After some struggles, the highly talented offensive player has started attacking the double-teams while receiving great help from her teammates. The Liberty has scored 87 or more in three of the last five games while their defense has kept teams below 80 in three of the five encounters.
Natasha Howard continues to be impressive for Liberty in many ways. They also signed Marine Johannes, the French sharpshooter who gives much-needed bench depth. Dolson gives toughness in multiple ways whereas Sam Whitcomb found her shot in the last game and can also act as a passer. The Liberty passing has been impressive this month.
Sky has scary depth
The Sky organization deserves credit for not being passive after a championship season and making great changes to the team. They brought in Emma Messeman and Rebekah Gardner. Messeman has been a smart scorer whereas Gardner has been a revelation off the bench, playing with a lot of heart on both ends. The organization nailed its signings.
When you add these two to a squad that has legendary Forward Candace Parker, one of the best playmakers Courtney Vandersloot, last season’s Finals MVP Kahleah Copper, and sharpshooterAllie Quigley, the Sky continues to be a deep team. The Sky is number one in the assists per game and when you have passers like Vandersloot and Parker, is it surprising?

Forward Candace is one of the best players to ever play basketball and her ability to score, rebound, defender, and pass are all top-level. I believe she will be in 16-23 points, 6-9 rebounds, and 4-7 assists range. She can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 33-44
Sabrina Ionescu(NYL)
Points: 13
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 07
Sabrina is an elite scorer, known for her long-range, crafty floaters and the ability to find teammates from difficult angles. The elite guard can be in 19-25 points, 5-8 assists, and 4-6 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 34-46
Courtney Vandersloot(CHI)
Points: 08
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 08
Steals: 01
Vandersloot continues to be an elite passer but her load has been decreased due to a loaded roster around her. I believe she will be in 9-13 points and 6-9 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 17-26
Natasha Howard(NYL)
Points: 25
Rebounds: 10
Assists: 05
Steals: 01
Forward Howard is an incredible scorer and rebounder while she has also been a huge defensive presence, being a core part of Liberty. I believe she will be in 13-18 points and 6-9 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 28-40
Emma Messeman(CHI)
Points: 26
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 04
Steals: 02
Messeman has been a great addition to the Sky team, she avoids low-percentage shots, can be an effective rebounder, plays disciplined defense and also knows how to move the ball. I believe she will be in 12-17 points and 5-8 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 25-37
Han Xu(NYL)
Points: 16
Rebounds: 05
Assists: 00
Blocks: 02
Tallest in the WNBA and with a swift frame, Xu is an incredible inside scorer and can do a great job on the rebounding end but yes, with a bit suspectful defense. I believe she will be in 11-16 points and 4-7 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 17-28
