SEA vs DAL Dream11: God, I love the WNBA and since the league has begun, it has produced some of the most incredible basketball players to ever grace the court. If I had more time, I’d watch every WNBA game but hey, there is work to do here as well, isn’t it? Still, I catch it whenever I can and I urge you to do so. And if you haven’t yet, you can switch on the game between the Seattle Storm and the Dallas Wings.

The Storm has won five out of their seven games, and after a slow start, they have won six of their last eight games. They have surely got their rhythm now. On the other hand, the Dallas Wings have rather lost their rhythm and are at six wins and six losses. They have lost four of their last five games. The Storm and the Wings met for the second time in the last game and for the second the Storm defeated the Wings, with a thrilling 89:88 win as Stewart bombarded them with 32 points. Can the Wings at least win once against the Storm?

Host: Dallas Wings
Visitors: Seattle Storm

Venue: College Park Center

WNBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Storms are getting it together

The Storm has one of the best players in their team in the form of Breanna Stewart. She can score from tough angles, can collect big rebounds and also provide a serviceable defense. Since inserting Gabby Williams into the lineup, the team defense of the Storm has been incredible, limiting teams to around 76 points a game and are second-best in that category. They are number one in both blocks and steals per game

As stated above, Stewart gives the team terrific scoring through her versatile game. Apart from her, the backcourt of Loyd and Bird has been incredible with both being terrific playmakers whereas Loyd is a dynamic scorer. Magbebor has grown a lot as a scorer and has expanded her shooting range whereas she provides terrific defense and rebounding. The bench may need some work but the Storm has a lot of experience nonetheless.

Wings need to finish better

The Wings have lost multiple close games and at times, they look one-dimensional, taking tough shots and also going too much in isolation mode. They have amazing shooters and due to that, they are number three in three-pointers made. However, they don’t move the ball much and are second-last in assists per game with around 18 a game. Their perimeter defense is amazing but they allow too many drives and inside scoring.

Arike Ogunbowale for all her gifts can take some tough shots and that allows the opponents to get a running game going at times. Allisha Gray and Marina Mabrey(Injured for the game) provide incredible support whereas Isabelle Harrison is having a breakout season. But even this deep in the season, I think coach Vickie Johnson is yet to figure out her rotations.
