DeWanna Bonner shooting over Emily Engstler IND vs CON Dream11

IND vs CON Dream11: God, I love the WNBA and whenever I get time, I make sure to tune in to catch a game or two, although there is not much time! Anyway, later about my proclivities towards the love of the game as the WNBA stages some of the most talented athletes you will ever see, and trust me, watching a WNBA game is a ton of fun. And there will be a lot of fun battles as the Indiana Fever host the Connecticut Sun.

The Fever hasn’t had much fun so far, as they have dropped to 10 losses in 13 games. In their last game, they lost third time to the Dream as the squad whittled to a 66:75 loss despite a 20 points effort by Kelsey Mitchell. On the other hand, the Sun look as imposing at it gets, they have nine wins and three losses, currently on a three-game winning streak. They won their last game 93:86 behind an incredible 25 points effort by Jonquel Jones, who is now in the groove. Can the Fever down the monster called the Connecticut Sun?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Fever struggling on bot ends, the Sun is on fire

The Sun has one of the worst defenses in the league, conceding around 88 a game while their offensive rating of 97.3 makes them the third-worst in that category. The Fever lack offensive options except for Kelsey Mitchell, who has had to shoulder most of the burden even if Victoria Vivians has had some big nights. On the other hand, their other options in Nalyssa, Engstler, and Egbo have all struggled to get going. One other area where the Fever has struggled is the defensive end. I believe a combination of Mitchell-Vivians-Engstler-Smith-Egbo can be given a run as the starting combination.

On the other hand, offense hasn’t been much of a problem for the Sun as they rank number two in points per game with 87.7. Since getting back Alyssa Thomas this season and a pesky perimeter guard rotation, the Sun leads the league in steals per game. The great news for them has been that Jonquel Jones has been in incredible form after a slow start. But my favorite in the league Alyssa Thomas has been the major difference-maker on both ends performing multiple tasks. DeWanna Booner has performed her tasks well while Brionna Jones has been a huge factor off the bench. The SUn look like a deep Playoffs team right now.

WNBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

Kelsey Mitchell(IND)
Points: 20
Rebounds: 02
Assists: 02

Guard Mitchell leads the Fever in scoring and she has been a huge factor overall, using her slick dribbling and shooting. I expect her to be in 16-23 points and 2-4 assists range. She can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 26-35

Jonquel Jones(CON)
Points: 25
Rebounds: 08
Assists: 06
Steals: 03
Blocks: 01
Forward Jonquel has found her groove after a lean patch and her scoring now reminds me of her last season’s MVP effort. I expect the scintillating Forward to be in 20-27 points, 9-14 rebounds, and 1-2 steals/blocks range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 38-55

NaLyssa Smith(IND)
Points: 10
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 00
Blocks: 01

Smith hasn’t been herself since the injury and has been a bit wayward with the ball, turning it over a ton and also struggling to shoot. I expect her to be in 12-17 points and 5-8 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-34
NaLyssa Smith IND vs CON Dream11

Alyssa Thomas(CON)
Points: 08
Rebounds: 11
Assists: 12
Steals: 01
Thomas is a joy to watch, she can grab boards, initiate fastbreaks through her crisp passing, and also act as both a ball-handler and a perimeter defender. I expect her to be in 10-15 points, 6-9 rebounds, and 5-8 assists range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 29-42

Emily Engstler(IND)
Points: 06
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 03

Steals: 03
Things have been tough for Emily since she has been shifted back to the bench role, although she does bring great rebounding. I believe she will be in 8-12 points and 6-9 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 19-31

DeWanna Bonner(CON)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 02
Steals: 03
Blocks: 01

Bonner has a terrific pull-up jumper but the Forward is also well-adept at playing a sturdy defense. I believe she will be in 17-22 points and 4-6 rebounds range.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-34

IND vs CON DREAM11 LINEUP BALANCERS

  • Victoria Vivians(IND) had 5 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 2 steals in the last game. Vivians shot just 2/12 in last game but that is not a reflection if her breakthrough season. I believe she will be in 9-15 points, 3-5 rebounds, and 2-4 assists range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-30
  • Danielle Robinson(IND) had 6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals in the last game. Veteran Guard Robinson has been unable to get going on the offensive end. I believe she will be in 7-11 points, 3-6 rebounds, and 2-5 assists range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 14-26
  • Brionna Jones(CON) had 21 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals in the last game. Center Brionna has been a huge factor off the bench both as a scorer and rebounder. I believe she will be in 11-15 points and 6-11 rebounds range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 21-32
  • Queen Egbo(IND) had 6 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 block in the last game. Center Queen has shown some strong inside scoring and rebounding skills. I expect her to be in 5-9 points and 5-8 rebounds range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 14-25
  • Courtney Williams(CON) had 6 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal in the last game. Guard Courtney’s role has reduced in Sun compared to what was with the Dream and she is known for nailing quick mid-range pullups. I expect her to be in 9-14 points range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 12-22
  • Natisha Hiedeman(CON) had 1 assist in the last game. Guard Natisha has been a strong defender but her offense is erratic. I expect her to be in 7-12 points range.
  • Expected Fantasy Points Range: 10-22
  • Destanni Henderson(IND) had 5 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds in the last game. Destanni has been an incredible rookie but her game still needs a lot of fine-tuning. I expect a 4-8 points, 3-5 assists, and 2-4 rebounds range.
    Expected Fantasy Points Range: 8-17
  • Di’jonai Carrington(CON) had 12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal in the last game. Di’jonai has done a great job off the bench as a scorer and defender. I expect her to be in 7-11 points and 4-6 rebounds range.
