CHI vs WAS Dream11: We have seen the WNBA scene heat up in the first quarter of the Regular Season and there is bound to be more coming on our way. The Aces and the Sun seem to have emerged as the top contenders to win it all this season but there are other teams on the rise too. The reigning champions Chicago Sky can be counted among them too and as they meet Washington Mystics, it will be a fun battle.

The Sky has begun from where they left off last season and have won seven of his ten games. They are on a three-game winning streak, being amidst an incredible run. On the other hand, the Washington Mystics have done a much better job of starting the season compared to last season as they have begun with seven wins and five losses. The Mystics and the Sky met during their last games and in that game, the Sky rattled the Mystics ship beating them 91:82 behind an incredibly balanced scoring effort. Can the Mystics take revenge?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Sky has great balance, Mystics need Elena Della-Donne

The Sky has built a team where they don’t have to rely on that one player who has to heat up for a big night. From their One-Guard to the Middle players, the scoring balance has been amazing being mostly in the 10-15 points range. If we talk about the passing, while Courtney Vandersloot has been the leading assists maker, Parker and Messeman have given a ton of handovers too. The biggest surprise has been the bench guard duo of Gardner and Evans, who are well supported by Azure Stevens. Seriously, the team is loaded with talent and is deeper than most teams off the bench.

The Mystics look like a better unit when Elena Della-Donne, without her they have lost two and won two games. Elena brings stable scoring, can rebound well, and help out on the defensive end. The trouble is that apart from her, the Mystics have not identified an offensively consistent absence. Center Austin shows sparks but her game needs to be polished more. On the other hand, Myisha Hines-Allen has also not been at her best whereas both Cloud and Atkins have surprisingly been misfiring. Perhaps an extended run for Machida can help but yes, in a positive, Tianna Hawkins has shown great chops recently.

Performance Predictions

Highest scorer: Elena Della-Donne: 18
Highest rebounder: Candace Parker: 10
Top assists maker: Courtney Vandersloot: 8
Score Prediction: Sky 89 Mystics 81
