LVA vs WAS Dream11: The WNBA is in its halfway stages and in a two weeks space, we will be rolling out through the WNBA All-Star Game. The All-Star Game will feature regulars like Nneka Ogwumike, Sylvia Fowles, Breanna Stewart, and A’ja Wilson but there have been some first-timers like Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young, with the reserve players yet to be announced. Talking about these last three players, the Las Vegas Aces will take on the Washington Mystics.
The Aces have put up the best record, winning 13 out of 16 games and boasting of the best offense in the league. However, they were taken aback by the Sky in the last game as they lost after taking a 28-point lead. The final scoreline read 95:104 in favor of the Sky despite Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young both scoring in excess of 20 points. On the other hand, the Mystics have not played their best ball recently, but despite that, they have won 11 out of 20 games.
Host: Las Vegas Aces Visitors: Washington Mystics Match Timing: 26 June, @ 07:30 AM (+05:30 UTC) Venue: Michelob Ultra Arena
Aces are too loaded
The Aces seem to be most loaded team in the league and they are deep in terms of their position-wise effectiveness. With Plum and Young having breakout seasons, the load on A’ja Wilson has slashed significantly whereas the presence of veteran Gray keeps the team afloat when the offense is stagnating a bit. Dearica Hamby has been a huge factor on the rebounding end and overall, the Aces have incredible athleticism, size, speed, and versatility to tackle most of the squads in the league.
Mystics need to do better offensively
The Mystics are certainly much better than last season, especially on the defensive end. However, their defense has been one of the worst in the league. They have been unable to get multiple players in rhythm on the offensive end and the lack of production from Cloud and Atkins has certainly hurt. Myisha Hines-Allen has done a decent job recently and with Elena Delle-Donne, the team does look better offensively, but overall, the Mystics have been looking a bit too vulnerable at times.
