Mercury’s defense can improve

With Tina Charles in the fray, the Mercury’s rotations were not looking on-point and that is why the team decided to part ways and have utilized smaller lineups with more switching capabilities. With Sophie Cunningham in the starting lineup, the Mercury looked like a better defensive team and their offense has improved. Skylar Diggins-Smith is having another riveting season while Taurasi’s offense has been electric. To be honest, the small-ball lineup with Skylar, Diana, Cunningham, Peddy, DeShields, and Turner looked like a strong defensive unit.

Fever needs a lot of work

Indiana Fever has been unable to get their defense going too. Their inside defense has been a travesty whereas their offense has been also erratic for most parts.
