The Mercury defense looked porous without their perennial defensive anchor Brittney Griner. Tina Charles for all her scoring talent and rebounding prowess, isn’t much of a defender and Griner is absolutely needed to cover the ground. Meanwhile, Diana Taurasi is in the closing moments of her career and she can’t be expected to do much as a defender. Will Sophie Cunningham help out? The offense does look strong with Skylar Diggins-Smith, Diana, Peddy, and Charles.

The Storm has two big-time scorers in the form of Stewart and Loyd. Stewart once again showed her brilliant scoring in the first two games while Loyd can also turn on the jets.
