The reigning NBA Champions Golden State Warriors will be playing Atlanta Hawks in an NBA action at home Oracle Arena, in Oakland California, on Wednesday morning (IST).

Golden State Warriors:

Despite losing 111-134 against Milwaukee Bucks in a potential East vs West playoffs final, Golden State Warriors remains the team to be beaten this season. One interesting fact in that defeat was that Draymond Green had to miss that match, while Stephen Curry was suffering from an injury and had to leave the match in the third quarter.

The Dubs are first in the Western Conference with 12-2 record in the season and will be playing against Los Angeles Clippers in a tough away game before this match.

Atlanta Hawks:

Despite losing 107-106 to Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks should be proud of their efforts in the last match. For much of the game, they were in control and should have won the match after going four points clear with less than two minutes to go. However, Lakers had too much experience in their ranks and that counted in the dying moments as the Showtime handed them their 10th loss of the season.

However, rookie point guard Trae Young was once again the shining light in yet another loss. He scored 20 points and 12 assists in the match, 11 and 5 of those came in the 3rd quarter alone. He was pulling the string when the going was getting tougher in the 4th quarter with his range of passing and decision-making as Hawks turned a 15 point deficit into a four points lead in the last quarter.

Head coach Lloyd Pierce was all praise for his team’s performance after the game and called upon his players to continue to perform like that to be just fine in terms of wins and losses for the season.

Taurean Prince led the visitors with his 23 points and 7 rebounds while Ken Bezmore had a good match as well, scoring 21 points.

Regular Season Record-
Golden State Warriors: W-4, L-6
Atlanta Hawks: W-3, L-9

Players to watch out for:

Golden State Warriors:
Kevin Durant – Not too far behind Stephen Curry in terms of scoring points per game this season. The winner of NBA finals MVP of the last two seasons is averaging 26.9 per game and should be your preferred choice for a star in your NBA Fantasy team.
Klay Thompson – If his splash brother Stephen Curry is not around, the 28-year-old Klay Thompson more of a central figure for Steve Kerr and his team. He is also only the 3rd player for Warriors this season who is averaging in the 20s in this regular season.

Atlanta Hawks:
Trae Young – The 20-year-old is averaging 18.5 points per game this season for Atlanta Hawks, making him the best player for his team in that regard.
Taurean Prince – The 24-year-old scored 24 points and 7 rebounds against Los Angeles Lakers, while for the season he is accumulating points at 15.3 per game.

Golden State Warriors:

Injured – Superstar Stephen Curry missed the last two games for Warriors through a strain in his left groin. The two-times NBA MVP is out injured for the third successive game as well.
Another notable absentee is DeMarcus Cousins who hasn’t played for Warriors since switching his loyalties from New Orleans Pelicans in the off-season.
Questionable – Draymond Green (right toe sprain) and Shaun Livingston (right foot soreness) were listed as questionable ahead of the game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Suspended – None

Injured – John Collins hasn’t recovered from his ankle injury, and has been ruled out from this match.

ATL vs GSW DREAM11 Fantasy Team:

Golden State Warriors have reached a state where they are hailed as favourites irrespective of the profile of their opponents. Also, Atlanta Hawks are a team struggling for results and make a trip to Oakland after losing eight times in the last matches, and the Oracle Arena is not a court to improve the stats in that regard.
Golden State Warriors to win this game.
