Cleveland Cavaliers vs Charlotte Hornets

Match Timing: November 14, 2018, @ 05:30 AM IST

Capacity- 20,562

Cleveland Cavaliers will aim to put their five-game losing streak to an end when they host Charlotte Hornets in an NBA match at Quicken Loans Arena, in Cleveland Ohio, on Wednesday morning.

Cleveland Cavaliers:

A life without LeBron James was always going to be a bumpy ride for Cleveland Cavaliers. After all the three times NBA MVP was their own son, so talented that he made this franchise the champions of East when he was in the land facing the sun. But his departure was like a Hogwarts School without Dumbledore, always destined to collect pieces out of the ruins. And the fact that Cavaliers are now the worst team across both the conferences, is a confirmation that the golden age of the 2016 NBA Champions may very well be the part of some closed history books with no hope of adding more chapters.

In the current gloomy contexts, Cavaliers are 1-11, still reeling after losing 99-98 against Chicago Bulls; a team thought to be competing with them for the worst NBA team this season. But Cavaliers are walking on a long lonely road where they are alone, a territory they should become accustomed to. The next match is against Charlotte Hornets, who could be a model for Cavaliers going forward.

Charlotte Hornets:

Charlotte Hornets are surely one of the most improved teams this season. They have won four times in the last six games, and sit at 5th in the Eastern Conference with an impressive 7-6 record so far in the 2018-19 campaign. Hornets are averaging 116.5 points per game this season which ranks 5th best on both the conferences.

Last time around, Charlotte were against Detroit Pistons which they won 103-113, their 3rd away win of the season. Tony Parker turned back the clock as he scored a joint game-high 24 points and improved his personal record to 20-11 against a team who he beat in the 2005 NBA finals.

Kemba Walker, meanwhile, continued to put impressive numbers on the board and scored 24 points and 8 assists in the game.

Regular Season Record-
Cleveland Cavaliers: W-1, L-11
Charlotte Hornets: W-7, L-6

Players to watch out for:

Cleveland Cavaliers:

Rodney Hood – With Kevin Love reduced to just four games’ action this season due to a foot injury, Rodney Hood is one of those layers tasked with scoring the bulk of points. The 26-year-old scored 20 points in the last game against Bulls, his season high.

Collin Sexton – A rookie, and just 19-year-old, Collin Sexton has started to live up to his big talent. The young Point-Guard is a clear preference over George Hill at the moment.

Charlotte Hornets:

Kemba Walker – This is his best start to an NBA season and quite a start it is. The 28-year-old Point Guard is racking up 27.9 points per game this season, 3rd in the list and behind only former MVPs Stephen Curry and James Harden. Without a shadow of any doubt, he is a sure shot to be a superstar in your NBA fantasy team.

Jeremy Lamb He is 3rd on the list for Hornets as far as scoring points every game is concerned, behind Malik Monks who hasn’t started a game this season. The 26-year-old first round pick is scoring at 12.2 points per game this season.

Cleveland Cavaliers:
Injured – Arguably, Kevin Love is the biggest star Cavaliers have right now and he is out injured through a foot injury. He has played just four games this season and a big reason why Cavaliers find themselves in a rut at the moment.
George Hill is also suffering from a shoulder injury and won’t be playing this match, while Sam Dekker is another absentee for the hosts in this match.

Questionable – Cedi Osman has been listed as questionable ahead of this home game against Charlotte Hornets.

Suspended – None

Charlotte Hornets:
Injured – Charlotte Hornets haven’t listed any player as out as of now.
Questionable – Frank Kaminsky (undisclosed injury) and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle injury) both have been listed as doubtful and will be monitored ahead of this match.

Suspended – None

CHA vs CLE DREAM11 Fantasy Team:

At this moment, nothing looks good for Cleveland Cavaliers. Their best player Kevin Love is also out injured, making them rather blatant in the offence.
While Charlotte Hornets are being led by Kemba Walker who is racking up some MVP-calibre numbers. And that’s why Horners are our choice for a winner in this match.
