Brooklyn Nets come home from their China Tour to round off their preseason with a home game against the reigning champions Toronto Raptors.
The wins in the preseason can not be used as a marker for how a team may go about its business in the regular season, but the way Nets outplayed the Los Angeles Lakers in their preseason 2-0 whitewash in China, Nets will be one of the teams to watch out for this coming season.

Raptors opened their preseason with a 134-129 win over Houston Rockets but have lost the last two against the Rockets and Chicago Bulls.

Brooklyn Nets:
When a team signs a player like Kyrie Irving, the postseason should be the minimum target to achieve in the season. But it’s the addition of Kevin Durant which has skyrocketed the expectation factor.
The team should fin no problem in qualifying for the postseason and sky should be the limit for Nets when Durant finally returns from his long injury layoff.
Toronto Raptors:
Kawhi Leonard has left the franchise for pastures new in Los Angeles. So don’t be in an illusion if you are a Toronto Raptors fan. The team may have offered Kyle Lowry an extension to his existing contract, but the management has failed to replace Leonard with another superstar.
The team should qualify for the playoffs though.

Kevin Durant remains a long-term injury absentee. The two-time NBA finals MVP suffered Achilles injury in Game-5 of NBA finals against Toronto Raptors and is expected to miss the rest of the regular season.
Patrick McCaw suffered a knee injury in the last game but the MRI did not reveal structural damage. However, he has been ruled out for Friday’s preseason game against the Nets.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is listed as doubtful due to a sore left groin.
Kyle Lowry was involved in a full practice game before this match and could make his first appearance in this preseason.
