AL Horford contesting Danilo Gallinari's shot BOS vs ATL Dream11

BOS vs ATL Dream11: The motives of the various squads will become clear with each day. Yes, of course, most of them are seeking a large number of wins but then you have to set realistic targets as well. But this is not to say that the race to the top for the Eastern Conference still remains wide open even though the Heat has hit their sweet spot. And talking about the East, let us jump into this game between the Celtics and the Hawks.

The Celtics have turned around their season in February and bringing in Derrick White bolstered their bench defense and also provides the depth. On the other hand, the team is still in the shot for a top-four finish but will need a special 5-7 game winning streak to ensure that they get over Bucks/Sixers/Cavs.

On the other hand, the Hawks are a long way removed from the battle to the top. They have more losses than wins, and truly, this season has been one big struggle for the Trae Young-led team. Trae has responded every now and then but for oppositions, the game plan is clear, shut down Young and claim the glory.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Celtics: Tough defense, but some room to improve offensively

February brought a positive change to the Celtics landscape and the team was able to extract most out of the home-court advantage. This is a team that was below the 50% win record till December and had been struggling to be consistent on both ends of the floor. But yes, a disciplined defensive template had already been set by coach Udoka and after a huge backlash from fans and critics alike, he stuck to that template and showed that it indeed is a fresh approach. Surely, the Celts have found magic on both ends of the floor but the question remains, will it be enough with the current depth of the East?

A pertinent question to be asked for sure. With the way Heat, Sixers, Bulls, Cavaliers, and Bucks are built, the elite duo of Brown and Tatum have the work cut out. And it may boil down to how Marcus Smart and Derrick White respond at the one-guard position, two crucial two-way players but during the Playoffs, you have to make your shots too. On the other hand, the frontline may not display awesome statistics but it is well-balanced. if you talk about Robert Williams III, he is a major reason why the defense is so brilliant but his offensive rebounding is equally important. Horford knows what his role is and many conversations have been around his massive contract, but trust me, his value can’t be measured in raw numbers alone. Can this strong defensive team make a run for the East Finals at least?

Hawks: No Eastern Finals repetition?

Trae Young is surely one of the most high-yielding guards in the league and arguably has had an even better offensive season than Stephen Curry. However, the trouble is that the Hawks have been unable to find the required balance outside of Young and Bogdanovic these days. Unlike the Celtics, the Hawks are not an elite defensive team by any stretch so it becomes crucial to stay efficient from the floor. With the injury to John Collins, it can be tough against physical players of Boston but yes, Gallinari, Bogdanovic, and Huerter have at least shot well.

De’Andre Hunter has been a decent wing for the team but they will need John Collins near the Playoffs. However, there are question marks surrounding the Atlanta team. They are at the ninth position and surely when the Play-in tournament comes, going up against the Trae Young-led squad can pose challenges but the team doesn’t look motivated as the last season. While it is true that it was after the mid-season that the Hawks picked up their game, the Eastern Conference is unarguably much stiffer this season. To be honest, an Eastern Finals trip looks unlikely as of now with the way the Conference is shaping up right now.

Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-30

Robert Williams III(BOS)

Blocks: 04
Steals: 01

Expected Fantasy Points Range: 31-44

Bogdan Bogdanovic(ATL)
Points: 14
