BOS vs DEN Dream11: NBA trade deadline left behind a lot of changes and hey, good luck being a writer during this time! Not only, do you have to look at the roster composition time and time again but the way you analyze the game changes quite a bit. But hey, it is also a fun period as some of the teams pitch together interesting combinations. Let us now jump into the game between the Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets.
The Celtics have won six more games than losses and they are in the midst of a winning period. Boston has won six games in a row and they bolstered their Point-Guard position after bringing in Derrick White while letting go of Josh Richardson and Dennis Schroeder. On the other hand, the team also brought back Daniel Theis, who can bolster the frontline of the team.
On the other hand, the Nuggets have been doing well considering they are playing without their best defender in Michael Porter Jr. and their second option on offense in Jamal Murray. Like the Celtics, the Nuggets have six more wins than losses and are on a two-game winning streak. With Jokic as the Central mover, the team has continued to be competitive this season. Celtics: Mounting a strong run It is not surprising that the Celtics have won six games in a row because they have so much talent on their roster, that this kind of game-winning streak was due for a long time. If we take into account the last season too, this is the first time that the team has won six games in a row, and that is the surprising part, it is not them winning six in a row but not winning that much regularly. This game-winning streak has proven to be a great boost as the postseason nears for the Celtics. The Celtics have made some big-time moves recently.
With Brown and Tatum getting their balance together, the team has been able to spread the ball out more and has elevated their passing. Smart and Horford are also two other terrific passers in the unit and when you add Derrick White in the mix, you have five great passers, and that is sure to improve the ball distribution. White has been a bit off from a shooting standpoint but he provides a starting-level talent off the bench. Daniel Theis has experience of playing with most of the players in the team and he can slate in as the backup big Forward/Center. The Celtics are a fighting defensive unit and their ability to choke oppositions is the biggest reason for the current turnaround.
Nuggets: Jokic is a huge threat even with a short-handed roster The Nuggets record may not make them look like an elite team but hey, the team has done well, trust me, not many teams can do this well when they lose their leading scoring guard and their best defender in all facets. But hey, this is again, not surprising because Nikola Jokic has been piling up triple-doubles once again this season, leading the Nuggets in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, which clearly indicates his impact. Nikola has once again been in the MVP race and he has deserved a lot of praise. He is just a terrific player inside the lane.
Aaron Gordon has shown some brilliant offensive games recently and combines with Jokic to form a great scoring frontcourt. Will Barton has carried a lot of load at wing and brings a versatile skillset night in and night out. Monte Morris has had some important impact and Jeff Green despite struggling, he can be a factor. JaMychal Green has been decent, Bryn Forbes and Bones Hyland continue to be inconsistent, but the bench overall is not one of the most high-yielding but has been decent enough during some occasions. One more thing, do you really want to face Nikola Jokic in the Playoffs where he takes it to whole another level!
