BOS vs DET DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Detroit Pistons will be looking to snap their six-game losing streak as they host red-hot Boston Celtics in an NBA match at Little Caesars Arena, in Midtown Detroit, on Sunday morning (IST).

Detroit Pistons:

When Detroit Pistons hosted Oklahoma City Thunder on December 4th, they were on a five-game winning streak and also won nine times in the 11 games prior to the meeting with the Thunder. Those wins also included a shock 104-106 victory on the road against the best team in NBA regular season so far Toronto Raptors.

Pistons lost the game against Oklahoma 83-110 but still, nobody perceived them hitting such a low in the last six games or so. From one of the most in-form teams to struggling to even maintain a place in the top-8, Detroit have endured everything in this wretched period.

Now they face a team which is seen as a genuine threat to Golden State Warriors’ supremacy. So in all sense, their misery may be compounded after the clash against the Greens.

In the last match, Pistons suffered a meltdown in the fourth quarter against Charlotte Hornets and missed a great chance to get back to winning ways.

Detroit were leading by 11 points at the end of the 3rd quarter and had the momentum to win the match.

But Kemba Walker took control of the game in the last six minutes as he scored 11 of his team’s last 13 points.

For Pistons, Blake Griffin scored a team-high 26 points, while Langston Galloway had 17 points from the bench.

Boston Celtics:

Before this match, Boston Celtics will be playing against Atlanta Hawks at TD Garden. The Greens are on a roll at the moment and boast the best winning streak in the NBA across both the conferences.

The Greens extended their winning streak to eight games after beating Atlanta Hawks 129-108 at TD Garden in the last match. This is the best current run in NBA and with the win, Celtics moved to fourth in the Eastern Conference.

Celtics won the first quarter 42-19 with Kyrie Irving scoring 12 of his 24 points in that period. Hawks didn’t give up and cut the deficit to 49-45 in the 2nd quarter but the hosts ended strongly and closed the quarter with 11 points lead.

The 18-time NBA champions regrouped after the break and touched the 100-point mark with 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter.

Regular Season Record-
Detroit Pistons: W-13, L-13
Boston Celtics: W-18, L-10

Players to watch out for:

Detroit Pistons:

Blake Griffin – The 29-year-old is dropping very good numbers in the last 10 games in particular. The Oklahoma born power-forward scored 26, 35, 31 and 31 points respectively in his last four appearances. His average for the season is 25.6 points per game.

Andre Drummond – League’s best defensive player this season is racking up most rebounds per game, 15.4. While his contribution to points is commendable as well, which is 18.2 points per game. Definitely, he is a complete package.

Boston Celtics:

Kyrie Irving – Dropped an insane 38 points in the last match as an injury-plagued Celtics maintained their winning streak. The former Cleveland Cavaliers star is averaging 22.5 points per game, also dropping 4.6 rebounds and 6.4 rebounds per game. He is too big a star and with Hawks struggling for a win, the member of 2016 NBA winning team could just be the man to lead your NBA fantasy team.
Jayson Tatum – One player who is destined to be the real superstar is Jayson Tatum. Still just 20, the 2017 1st round pick is producing numbers of a seasoned player. This season, he is averaging 16.6 points per game.
