AL Horford dunking past Otto Porter BOS vs GSW Dream11

BOS vs GSW Dream11: The NBA Finals are in full swing and it is one of those parts where you don’t see a daily NBA action, which can make it a bit frustrated for the NBA diehards. However, the fun part is that this series will decide who gets to lift the championship. And in Game 4 of the Finals, the Boston Celtics will host the Golden State Warriors as the series heads towards the climax.

In Game 3, the Boston Celtics won 116:100 against the Golden State Warriors as Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, and Jayson Tatum also scored 20+ points. The Celtics shut down the Warriors in the last quarter by outscoring them by 12 points. The Warriors saw Curry suffer an injury in the last game but he is most likely going to play here. Can the Warriors win this battle to avoid a complicated scenario?

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

The Warriors’ defense needs fixing

The Warriors have allowed 120 and 116 in two of the three games. It clearly indicates that their defense has had trouble keeping up with the Celtics. I believe one of the major reasons for that has been the Guard depth of the Celts that has come in fruition, especially in this series. The Warriors have had trouble keeping teams in control away from home, so losing their first game at home was huge in the context of this series.

The last game was the biggest signifier of the Celtics’ depth. Smart has been in full groove during this series and I believe that has made the biggest difference. The Warriors defense has kept Tatum under 40% so far whereas Jaylen Brown has been the main factor on the offensive end. Having Robert Williams has been a big boost for the Celtics as he can cover up the defensive lapses and be a big help defender. Al Horford has been impressive as an all-around player.

The Warriors need more from Draymond Green and Jordan Poole as both of them haven’t found their footing yet. The team is overly reliant upon Stephen Curry, but Thompson showed a great shooting night in the last game. Wiggins has been an absolute menace on both ends of the floor but the team needs more rebounding help from Green. Can Porter Jr. and Payton act as “X-Factors” here?
