CHI vs NOP DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

New Orleans Pelicans will look for the home comfort to snap their six-game losing streak when they host Chicago Bulls in an NBA match, on Thursday morning (IST).

New Orleans Pelicans:

New Orleans Pelicans suffered their sixth straight defeat, five of which came on the road when Paul George inspired Oklahoma City Thunder beat them 122-116 in Oklahoma Yesterday. For some, it was not a surprise with the way both these teams are playing at the moment. The results reveal a complete and opposite change in fortune for both Pelicans and Thunder, to say the least.

The margin of defeat could have been huge had Western Conference play of the week Russell Westbrook stayed on the court for the whole match. The 2017 NBA MVP suffered a sprain in the ankle and was taken off after just 25 minutes.

Talking about Pelicans, there is something really different about them these days. Anthony Davis doesn’t look like the same player at this moment. His average has gone drastically down since he returned from the injury.

Is he still not fully fit? Or his link-up with Golden State Warriors has diverted his mind?

Whatever the reason, Pelicans has to stop this rut or they will fall behind in the pecking order in a conference where there are too many powerful teams.

Chicago Bulls:

Finally, the Chicago Bulls won. It was just their 3rd of the season, and also first in the last five matches. It also came against New York Knicks who are giving them company at the lower end of the table in the Eastern Conference. So you could see how important a win this could be, for, at least, giving them a boost and a psychological edge over teams currently going through a tough period.

There aren’t many positives to look for in Bulls’ performance so far. However, if you deter away from searching into cumulative efforts, you may end up dropping your jaw at Zach LaVine. He is the man who is racking up points which are going in vain but enough to ramp up his own stock. And why not, the 27.9 average is not a match for a team currently lying near the foot, rather it’s for combating with the giants of the Conference.

If you are a Bulls fan, enjoy while you can, Zach LaVine may leave sooner than later.

Regular Season Record-
New Orleans Pelicans: W-4, L-6
Chicago Bulls: W-3, L-8

Players to watch out for:

New Orleans Pelicans:

Anthony Davis – His average may have dropped in the last few matches, but he is a superstar. He can explode at any time.

Nikola Mirotic – The 27-year Power Forward is averaging 21.8 points per game, and the only player other Davis in the Pelicans team to keep his average in the 20s at the moment.

Chicago Bulls:

Zach LaVine – The biggest Basketball star in Chicago at the moment. The 23-year-old is racking up 27.9 points every game and will be even more confident after dropping a magnificent 41 points in the last game against New York Knicks.

Jabari Parker – The 23-year-old Power Forward is in good touch, scoring in double digits in the last three matches. Not a candidate for a star but certainly good enough to be in your team.

INDIA FANTASY PREDICTION:

On paper, New Orleans Pelicans have the big game players, but they are not firing at the moment. Could this be the game when they all come good, and especially Anthony Davis.
We expect Pelicans to win this game because this is the first time in the last five games that they are at home.
