CLE vs NYK Dream11: NBA midseason is bringing in some tough times for various teams while other teams have chimed in with similar contributions as they had earlier. Well, certain teams set precedents and these precedents sometimes end up being followed for the rest of the season. This is why in a season where each team plays 82 games, there are likely to be windows where multiple players are hurt and the team depth is challenged. This is why it is essential to field deep teams.
In this game, the Cleveland Cavaliers will visit the New York Knicks in a classic Eastern Conference battle. The Cavaliers are having a terrific season and they have indeed set a high precedent, especially on defense but yes, with Markkanen out for this game, they will need their bench players to step up.
The New York Knicks have been struggling all season long and have sent some underwhelming precedents on the offensive end. The team has been following winning streaks with losing streaks and that is why they have hovered in the 50%-win mark for the most parts. Can the Knicks get semblance on the offensive end?
Host: Cleveland Cavaliers
Visitors: New York Knicks
Match Timing: 25 January, @ 05:30 AM
Venue: Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse
Cavaliers: Athletic, big, and dynamic
The Cavaliers have done a wonderful job with their big lineup and their experiment of fielding multiple bigs has brought wonderful results. Well, Darius Garland has been a top-notch ball-handler and floor general for this team. He has improved his scoring range and he has been also handing over assists like an elite passer. Meanwhile, the team has two wonderful Centers in Mobley and Allen, with Mobley having a diving game and finishing at the rim while Allen using his size to fend away defenders and finish big. While Mobley is an all-purpose defender, Allen’s shot-blocking and help defense is a big boon. When you pair these three up with Markkanen who can light it up from beyond the arc, you get open lanes and spread-out defenses. Off the bench, Kevin Love, a big Forward has kept the length theme going and Cedi Osman despite his recent shooting struggles has been a constant scorer off the bench. With Stevens as the backup Forward, the Cavaliers present a lot of lengths that help them on the rebounding, defensive, and scoring end as the team has a size advantage.
Knicks: Offensive woes
Well, Knicks fans have booed the team a lot lately and I think that is rather cruel on the players who have to undergo a lot of troubles on the floor already, and I think that has been one of the biggest culprits why the team lost three games in a row at home. However, the fans were booing because the team has been unable to stitch together quality offensive games. While RJ Barrett has been scoring a lot, he hasn’t been much efficient on average. Evan Fournier can’t piece together 4-5 games with high-yielding production, Kemba Walker has been off his game, Alec Burks has had the biggest shooting troubles. Meanwhile, Mitchell Robinson can get inside points but hey, he is not the first or even second option on offense. Immanuel Quickley has done well but again, the shooting woes have carried all the way to the bench. Will the newly acquired Cam Reddish make any difference once he is healthier? Will the Knicks make some trades to find someone consistent on offense? Let us see, the core has been misfiring quite a lot.

Knicks Expected Starting Five
Middle: C: Mitchell Robinson(QUESTIONABLE) | PF: Julius Randle
Guards: PG: Kemba Walker | SG: Evan Fournier | SG: RJ Barrett
BENCH: Immanuel Quickley, Cam Reddish, Obi Toppin, Miles McBride, Nerlens Noel, Taj Gibson, Quinten Grimes, Jericho Sims.
Julius Randle(NYK)
Points: 24
Rebounds: 09
Assists: 05
Julius is one of the best big Forwards in the league but yes, he has the tendency to play out of control, turn the ball over and take iffy shots. The Forward has usually scored in the 17-24 points range while grabbing 6-10 rebounds and dishing 5-9 assists. Randle can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 37-52
Darius Garland(CLE)
Points: 23
Rebounds: 01
Assists: 11
Steals: 01
Darius reminds me of Chris Paul in his prime(Basically, his New Orleans Hornets days), as he has become one of the best playmakers in the league and has taken his scoring up a notch too. Darius has scored 20+ points and handed over around 10 assists a game consistently this season.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-44
Jarrett Allen(CLE)
Points: 14
Rebounds: 13
Assists: 03
Blocks: 02
Jarrett’s size and the ability to play physically have disrupted the rhythm of opposing bigs time and time again. The highly talented Center has figured in the 12-18 points and 10-15 rebounding range continually this season while blocking 1+ shots regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-42
RJ Barrett(NYK)
Points: 28
Rebounds: 14
Assists: 06
Blocks: 01
RJ has been up-and-down in terms of offensive production but still has been the biggest contributor on that end for the Knicks recently with his amazing hops. The third-year player has scored in the 17-18 points range mostly and let us see if he can have one of these 25+ points game in a back-to-back situation.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-45
Evan Fournier(NYK)
Points: 14
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 02
Steals: 01
Like pretty much the whole team, Evan has had his struggles from the field and has been on and off. Fournier has followed a pattern of usually scoring in the 14-28 range and then scoring below 10. But I think that will not be the case here, I see him scoring in the 13-17 range here at least.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 18-33
Evan Mobley(CLE)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 17
Assists: 02
Blocks: 01
Evan has been having a wonderful rookie season and yes, he is a terrific offensive player and rebounder but it is his defensive ability that has been the real difference-maker. Mobley has scored in the 15-18 points range while grabbing 8 or more rebounds while blocking 1 or more shots regularly this season.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 30-41
