DAL vs SAC Dream11: The NBA has grown its fanbase and it is clear that the push to become a global sport has been successful for the league. The business model of the NBA has taken advantage of social media and with its gripping storyline, high-flying athletes, and the nature of the basketball itself, it is adding to its fan count at a stunning rate. The emergence of NBA fantasy sport has also opened gates for further statistical-based evolution and it is clear we will see a lot more fantasy-based games in the future. Anyway, let us jump into this game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Sacramento Kings.

The Mavericks have done a great job as a team and they have clinched 38 wins and have compiled 25 losses. They have won three games in a row and they have done a great job as a defensive unit with Luka in the mix, they keep on closing out games. They will be in for an intense playoff tussle and many teams can be scared of their two-way talent and revamped bench.

On the other hand, the Kings have been struggling to garner a rhythm so far and their tendency to give away big leads has haunted them all season. They have 17 more losses than wins and despite winning two of their last three games, the road to the Play-in tournament keeps becoming stiffer with each day.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Mavericks and Kings have had opposite seasons
The Mavericks have won more than 70% of their games since January and they have been doing a great job of shutting down opponents, especially late in the game. The most exciting part of the winning run has been that Dallas has fended off the East toppers Heat, the West’s top two to three seeded teams in Warriors and the Grizzlies, clearly indicating the leaps and bounds the team has grown over the season. Of course, having a high-quality Point Guard like Luka Doncic helps the matter and he has been justifying his first year of the Supermax contract in a big way. But he would have been like in the Trae Young-led Hawks situation if the team’s defense wasn’t elite.

On the other hand, the Kings have been divorced from the defense since the beginning of the season. Their lack of defense coupled with a newly built lineup has contributed to some harrowing defeats but the number of blowout wins was already in a big supply even before the trades. One of the concerns for the Kings has been that they have been unable to figure out what combinations to play during what period. I have advocated for a Fox-Mitchell-DiVincezo-Barnes-Sabonis starting lineup and although it does compromise size, I think it can help improve the defense while also helping in a more uptempo style of basketball. Whatever may be the case if the team is running the current lineup, they need more offense out of Sabonis.

In terms of the match-up, Domantas Sabonis can eke out an advantage over Powell with his all-around game, but yes, Sabonis can score more than he is currently. If Doncic plays here, the Mavericks will be a tough team at the Point Guard and undoubtedly deeper than the Kings with their three PG rotation. At wing, Bullock will give Barnes all he can handle while Dorian Finney-Smith provides a two-way edge with his defensive anchor ways. Bench-wise, if Mitchell and DiVincenzo click then they have gotten a sizeable advantage but it is yet to happen this season with Mitchell not shooting at a high clip. So, how will the Kings go about it in this game?
