Bam Adebayo rebounding MIA vs PHI Dream11

MIA vs PHI Dream11: NBA is an extremely taxing league and we know by now that the nature of the game can change in a jiffy. What happens is that you go through cold spells and hot spells on a constant basis but in the end, it is important to set a winning tone. Sure, you can turn it around during the current windows or before that, but I have a theory that if you have a 50—60% win record by mid-December, you can make inroads later and catch up to at least 3-6 spot teams. One team that set a great tune in Miami Heat will host a team that is catching up to them in the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Miami Heat is at the top of the Eastern Conference and the only team to have won 40 games or more so far. The squad has won eight out of ten games, and have been one of the best if not the best teams in terms of coping with injuries. Surely, when you are this deep, a big Playoffs run can be expected.

On the other hand, the 76ers are red-hot right now and they have won five games in a row guess who has changed the complexion of the game? It is James Harden, someone who is fitting well into this lineup. They have three fewer wins and one more loss than the Heat, but yes, the East is fierce this season!

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Heat: Can they finish at the top in the East?
Miami Heat has been doing one thing better than any other team, perhaps with the exception of the Grizzlies; winning without their key players. There is only one way you can do that and it is by building a deep roster. The depth of the Heat has been at full display time and time again. When both their key players in Butler and Adebayo went down, the team saw bench players like Strus, Martin, Vincent, and Yurtseven stepped up their game but there were four key pieces who kept it ticking too in the form of Lowry, Robinson, Herro, and Tucker, while Lowry, Robinson, and Tucker brought hustle to the forefront, Herro was the real reason why the offense was ticking, and with each month, he has only grown his production.

However there is one huge concern, Butler and Lowry keep missing games and although having a deep bench is nice and dandy but the team will need these two Playoffs vets and terrific all-around players when the team reaches Postseason. But in the current scenario, Strus, Vincent, Robinson, Dedmon, and Martin have been huge and without them, the team would have been hovering around the 50% win mark. Adebayo has been a terrific physical player as the top-notch rebounder, inside finisher, and also a brilliant defender. This is a player who can be the difference between heat making the First/Semis at best or going the way to the Finals, after all, you need easy points in the Postseason when the intensity picks up.

Sixers: Harden’s arrival makes a world of difference
The Philadelphia 76ers have been doing a great job at the offensive end since the arrival of James Harden. As expected, pairing a high-yielding playmaker alongside Embiid, Maxey, and Harris has worked wonders, and when it is a Former MVP still in his prime, what a bonanza that is! As riveting Harden and Embiid have been, the team has been keeping afloat with Maxey in the middle. Tyrese Maxey has been a huge difference-maker and it seems like Maxey and Harden can form a highly intimidating backcourt duo, especially in the East. The 76ers have been doing a great job on the offensive but there is one big headache they have.

The lack of bench has been an issue throughout the season and if someone amongst Harden, Maxey, Harris, and Embiid gets injured, the team balance will surely be in tatters. And we have seen enough of the NBA to know that the injuries define every team’s season and with a thin bench, you can be in a lot of trouble. Sure, Niang has been clicking on the threes but the team lacks someone who can take the reins of someone among the main five who gets injured. However, if this team remains healthy, they can make a ton of noise as their defense has been terrific largely because of Embiid in the middle and Thybulle hogging the perimeter. So where will the 76ers go from here?
