Last season, Los Angeles Clippers missed out on the playoff which was the first instance in the last six seasons that they finished the regular season outside top-8 in their division.

Clippers now head into the new season with a deep, intriguing squad. Not only they managed to retain some of their proven stars, but the new signings in the offseason make them well-stocked in the defensive department.

The Clippers were one of the best teams last season in defensive rebounds and blocks. It shouldn’t come as a surprise as they have Patrick Beverley and Avery Bradley in their ranks, arguably two of the best defensive backcourts in the league. They strengthened even further in that area after signing Luc Mbah a Moute in the summer.

The offence may not be as stout as the backcourt, Clippers still have Tobias Harris and Lou Williams in their roster. If on song, these aforementioned players can give any team a run for their money.

Denver Nuggets:

Improvement should be the focal point for Denver Nuggets after they bettered their win total each of the last four years in 2017-18. Now they must build on that and should aim for a playoff spot for the first time since 2012-13.

The visitors still had Nikola Jokic in their ranks who can easily qualify as one of the true bigs in the league.

If Paul Millsap and Isaiah Thomas can maintain their fitness levels, no doubt Denver have the right balance in their squads to make the postseason.

While existing stars such as Patri Beverley, Louis Williams, Tobias Harris Avery Bradley, Danilo Gallinari, Montrezl Harrell, Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, Milos Teodosic, Sindarius Thornwell and Jawun Evans, all are fit and are expected to feature in this game.

Elsewhere, DeAndre Jordan and CJ Williams have left the franchise in the summer.
