Houston Rockets vs New Orleans Pelicans

NBA Regular Season
HOU vs NOP DREAM11 MATCH PREVIEW:

Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans set to lock horn in their first NBA match of the 2018-19 season at Toyota Center.

Houston Rockets:

The memories are still fresh from last season when Houston Rockets nearly won the Western Conference in the 7 game series against the eventual winners Golden State Warriors. In fact, the Rockets were leading the series 3-2 but Klay Thompson’s another 6th game heroics proved to be the watershed moment in the series and the Steve Kerr’s men went on to win the 7th and the final match 92-101 at Toyota Center.

However, with James Harden at his prime and some remarkable talent added to the squad in the summer to help Harden and Paul, the Rockets can aim for the lofty heights in the West.

New Orleans Pelicans:

The New Orleans Pelicans made a complete sweep of Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA playoffs and thus made the semifinals last season. In the last 4, they came unstuck against the might of Golden State Warriors and were beaten 4-1 in the series.

The run to the sem-finals was one of the best seasons in Pelicans’ history. They have the talent and a player of Anthony Davis’ pedigree surely can give them the enough impetus to target the back-to-back playoffs for the first time since 2004-05 and 2005-2006 season.

HOU vs NOP DREAM11 TEAM NEWS:
Houston Rockets:

Holding the Stars – The franchise has gone through a major overhaul in the off-season. However, the reigning MVP James Harden remains with his team, along with his partner-in-dribbling Chris Paul. Also, other notable players who signed extensions with the franchise are Clint Capela, Eric Gordon, and Gerald Green, along with Nene, PJ Tucker and Zhou Qi.

Out – The biggest name leaving Houston is Trevor Ariza who has signed with Phoenix Suns and taking along Ryan Anderson with him. Luc Mbah a Moute has gone to LA to play with Clippers, while Tarik Black, Markel Brown, RJ Hunter, Aaron Jackson, Joe Johnson, and Chinanu Onuaku all have left for pastures new.

In – Oklahoma City Thunder’s loss is Houston Rockets’ big gain as Carmelo Anthony has decided to come to Houston in the summer. Now with him in the squad, there will be few teams who could match with their shooting from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, Marquese Chriss, Gary Clark, Isaiah Hartenstein, Brandon Knight, Vince Edwards, Bruno Caboclo, Michael Carter-Williams and James Ennis all have come on board.

Out Injured – Zhou Qi and Brandon Knight both have been ruled out while Marquese Chriss, Nene and Eric Gordon have been listed as questionable.

New Orleans Pelicans:

Holding the Stars – Whispers surrounding the future of Anthony Davis are already circulating in the air. But for the time being, the big man is in Orleans and will be their go-to-man in all situations.
However, the franchise also did well in the off-season as they managed to keep theirs like Alexis Ajinca, Jrue Holiday, Ian Clark, Solomon Hill, Darius Miller, Nikola Mirotic and E’Twaun Moore at Smoothie King Center for another season.
Out – While the biggest set back was their decision to let DeMarcus Cousins join the Golden State Warriors. This could be the reason why Davies may be looking at other options as there is not much quality in the team. Rajon Rondo, DeAndre Liggins, Jordan Crawford, Emeka Okafor have also left the team.

In – Former Los Angeles Lakers Power-Forward Julius Randle has joined the team in the off-season. While some notable young talents namely Kenrich Williams, Troy Williams, Trevon Bluiett, Jahlil Okafor, and Elfrid Payton have been added to the squad.

Out Injured – Jahlil Okafor is only injury concern. Although, he remains Game Time Decision.
