Denver Nuggets vs Minnesota Timberwolves Dream11 NBA Team Prediction – Fantasy Team News

After losing the last two games, Denver Nuggets will be hoping to return to winning ways before the playoff season kick start this weekend, as they host Minnesota Timberwolves in their last regular season NBA match at Pepsi Center, in Denver, Colorado, on Thursday morning (IST).

Match Timing: April 11, 2019, @ 08:00 AM IST
NBA Regular Season
Venue – Pepsi Center
Capacity- 18,007

It’s that time of the year when the teams are driven by the playoff scenarios, making all the permutations and combinations to have a favorable start to the post-season. It’s the same with Denver Nuggets who are desperate to hold on to their 2nd place in the Western Conference.

But Michael Malone’s men are losing control of their own destiny, at least momentarily.

Not long ago. Nuggets had a good advantage over Houston Rockets and looked certain of at least finishing 2nd in the Western Conference.

However, Denver’s 4-6 run in the last 10 games, together with Houston’s 8-2 streak, means Nuggets have just one game advantage over James Harden’s team going into their final game of the regular season.

But Rockets’ 111-112 loss to Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena means, Nuggets can secure the 2nd position with a win in their last game against Minnesota Timberwolves.

While a loss would see them finishing the regular season with a record of 53-29, identical to Rockets. In that case, Houston will usurp them from 2nd place due to their better head to head record against Denver.

Also, Nuggets can certainly use a win here after losing the last two, including a 118-108 defeat against Utah Jazz.

Meanwhile, Minnesota Timberwolves will be looking to end the season on a positive note after losing 8 times in the last 10 games.

Regular Season Record-
Denver Nuggets: W-53, L-28
Minnesota Timberwolves: W-36 L-45

Players to watch out for:

Denver Nuggets:

Nikola Jokic – Endured one of his worst nights against Utah Jazz. He was poor throughout the game, never feeling at ease before fouling out after just 16 minutes. Regardless, he remains Nuggets’ best player by some stretch. The 24-year-old is racking up a team-high 20.2 points per game, along with 10.8 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game as well.

Jamal Murray – Nuggets have talented players on their ranks and one of them is Jamal Murray who is enjoying a personal best season. The 22-year-old scored 22 points in the last game, taking his season average to 18.2 points per game.

Minnesota Timberwolves:

Karl-Anthony Towns – By far the most talented players on Wolves’ roster. Timberwolves have endured through another campaign, failing to qualify for the playoffs. But the 23-year-old Karl-Anthony Towns is a reason for optimism for this franchise. A couple of good signings will definitely make this team more competitive in nature. The big Center is racking up a team-high 24.4 points per game.

Andrew Wiggins – The 24-year-old small-forward has had an inconsistent season, averaging 18.0 points per game, which is lower than his career average of 19.4 points per game. But in the last 10 matches, he has scored at 21.1 points per game. Clearly, he is in good form!

Denver Nuggets:
Injured – Nuggets have a near full strength team. Considering this is a final game of the regular season, coach Michael Malone is expected to go with a powerful team against the Wolves. But Michel Porter remains out injured.
Questionable None at the moment.
Suspended – None.

Minnesota Timberwolves:
Injured – Timberwolves are carrying a big injury list these days. As many as four players are listed as out for this match. Robert Covington (knee injury), 2011 MVP Derrick Rose (elbow injury), Jeff Teague (foot injury), Taj Gibson (calf injury) and Luol Deng (Achilles Tendon) have all been ruled out of this match.
Questionable – Karl-Anthony Towns missed the last game due to a knee injury, and he remains a doubt for this match, while Jerryd Bayless (ankle injury) and Taj Gibson calf injury) will be assessed before the match as well.
Suspended – None.

DEN vs MIN Dream11 Teams (Probables):

  • Denver Nuggets: Will Barton (F), Paul Millsap (F), Nikola Jokic (C), Gary Harris (G), Jamal Murray (G)
  • Minnesota Timberwolves: Andrew Wiggins (F), Dario Saric (F), Gorgui Dieng / Karl-Anthony Towns (Doubtful) (C), Josh Okogie (G), Tyus Jones (G)

DEN vs MIN Dream11 Fantasy Team:

This is the last game for either team, so both the camps will be looking for a season-ending win. But for Nuggets, the real battle will be staring as they are in the playoffs, while Minnesota will be enjoying the post-season from the comfort of their home.
Considering Nuggets are at home, we back them to win this match.
