DEN vs SAS Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:

One of the best teams of the regular season, Denver Nuggets, was on the verge of getting mauled in the very first round of the playoff series. So when the home fans booed the home team, it came as a no surprise in the first game. After all, the optimism created by the 54 regular season wins, went into thin air in a whiff.

Head coach Michael Malone had the clear idea about the situation going into the 2nd fight with the San Antonio Spurs.

It was “Code Red” for the Nuggets.

“We’ve got to start fighting for ourselves,” Malone was quoted as saying before the match.

And he got what he wanted from his players.

The hunger and the fight to win games. But beware! Because it was in parts. Or you can blame San Antonio Spurs to throw the game.

Nuggets were staring at another home loss after going down 59-78 with less than five minutes left in the 3rd quarter. The way Nuggets were playing, the 19-points deficit looked unbridgeable.

But Jamal Murray led the fightback for the team, scoring an incredible 21 fourth-quarter points. He finished the game with 24 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds.

Three more players touched the 20-point mark, led by Gary Harris who scored 23 points from the bench, while Nikola Jokic had a double-double 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Regular Season Record-
San Antonio Spurs:
W-48, L-34
Denver Nuggets:
W-54, L-28

Players to watch out for:

San Antonio Spurs:
DeMar DeRozan – Had a double-double in the first game and looked the kind of player the fans believe he can be. He finished the match with 16 points and 12 rebounds, which came on 7-of-10 shooting and a big monster dunk over Paul Millsap. Spurs will need more of him if they are to get the better of talented Denver Nuggets in the first round.

LaMarcus Aldridge – Ended the regular season with a career-high 21.3 points per game. He is heading towards the twilight of his career but there are no signs of him slowing down. For he remains as effective as he was ever in his career. In the last 10 games, the 33-year-old has averaged 22.7 points per game.

Denver Nuggets:

Nikola Jokic – Averaged a double-double in the regular season, averaging 20.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. He also recorded 7.3 assists per game as well, showing that he is an-allrounder on the Basketball court. The big Serbian remains Nuggets’ best player by some stretch.

Jamal Murray – One of the best young players in the NBA is Jamal Murray. He is enjoying a personal best season. The 22-year-old scored 22 points in the last game, taking his season average to 18.2 points per game.
