Klay Thompson Stephen Curry GSW vs DET Dream11

GSW vs DET Dream11: NBA midseason is in full swing and it will not be surprising if some teams engage in the trade market right now for many reasons, perhaps to fill the gaps in certain areas, try to acquire some picks, move away from some contracts that didn’t pan out and for various other budget-related reasons. Anyway, for some teams, the trade market means little and they end up making no moves at all.

And in this game, two contrasting teams in Detroit Pistons and the Golden State Warriors will clash against each other. Pistons have been one of the lowest winning teams this season, with 10 wins and 32 losses, but have played some decent basketball this month. On the other hand, the Warriors have compiled 31 wins and 12 losses but have had rather a tough time recently.

Pistons are young and rebuilding so the expectations were not high on them at all. So, the current result from an inexperienced squad only defines that the team is not in the “win-now” mode. On the other hand, the Warriors are surely in a “win-now” mode and after a terrific window from October to the third week of December, Golden State has been struggling lately, and with an injury to Draymond Green, the team can get hurt on both ends.

NBA Projections, Stats & Analysis

Warriors: They will figure it out soon
Warriors have lost five out of the last seven games and that is largely due to mid-season fatigue and an injury to Draymond Green. While the MVP award is usually showered to superstar faces who dazzle with their scoring, Green is no less valuable than Curry. He sets hard screens, plays all-position defense, grabs tough boards, pushes the ball up, is the leading playmaker of the team, and overall, provides superb leadership on both ends. With Draymond, the Warriors are more focused on the defensive end and now with him gone, they are having trouble in multiple spheres. Still, I think a lineup of Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Porter Jr., Looney, Poole, Payton II, Lee, Toscano-Anderson, and Bjelica, the Warriors can launch a decent two-way attack. I think the team just needs a bit more time and in a game or two, they will figure out the combinations.

Pistons: Young, inexperienced, and rebuilding
Detroit has been having a difficult season and most of the time, they lose by 10+ points, well out of the game by the first half during many occasions. Pistons are slated to win 20 or fewer games with the current rate and imagine it is when the team has played their best basketball recently. Detroit is highly young, with a rookie Cade Cunningham at the one guard, sophomores Killian Hayes at off-guard, Saddiq Bey at the wing, Isaiah Stewart at the Center position, and Hamidou Diallo as a fifth-year player, the core of Detroit is young and still learning the craft of the NBA. There are concerns with Hayes developing slowly as a scorer, Stewart having his troubles, and with both Cade and Hamidou being erratic, but hey, these are young players. Still, I believe Detroit’s foundation looks a little shakier compared to teams like Magic and Thunder. Will these players prove this belief wrong down the line?

NBA Scores, Fantasy Basketball Top Picks

Cade Cunningham(DET)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 01
Assists: 04
Steals: 01
Cunningham is a rookie who has showcased big-time potential. The young one guard has had his struggles but he seems to be figuring it out at the NBA level. Cade has scored 18 or more in three of the last five games, he has dished 4-8 assists and grabbed 3-8 rebounds a game recently. Cade can be selected as a Star/Pro Player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy scenario.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 29-40

Stephen Curry(GSW)
Points: 18
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 08
Steals: 03
Curry has been lighting it up from long-range and his scoring prowess along with his playmaking abilities and will to defend make him one of the best players in the league. Steph’s scoring is down these days but a 25+ points night production is no surprise while grabbing 3-6 rebounds and dish 5+ assists regularly.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 39-49

Saddiq Bey(DET)
Points: 08
Rebounds: 02
Assists: 01
The sophomore wing has done most of his damage from beyond the arc and has even led the team in points during the decent number of games this season. Bey has scored in the 14-16 points range but can even score as much as 29 during some games.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 20-31

Klay Thompson(GSW)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 04
Steals: 02
Klay rang 20+ points in the last game and this can spell a return to form after a two years+ layoff due to an injury. If Thompson can score in the 19-25 points range, that will serve the Warriors well on the offensive end.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 22-34
Jordan Poole GSW vs DET Dream11

Trey Lyles(DET)
Points: 18
Rebounds: 06
Assists: 02
Trey is having a superb season off the bench at the big Forward position. He has certainly lifted his game during this month and has scored in the 14-21 points in the four of the last five games while grabbing 3-6 rebounds a game.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 19-36

Andrew Wiggins(GSW)
Points: 19
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 01
Steals: 03
Blocks: 01
Wiggins is one of the best wings in the league not only because of his scoring but also his highly improved defense over the years. Andrew has been scoring in the 17-23 points range consistently this season and he can expand further every now and then.
Expected Fantasy Points Range: 27-41

GSW vs DET DREAM11 LINEUP BALANCERS

  • Hamidou Diallo(DET) had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block in the last game. Diallo has been doing well as a starter. He has scored in 10-18 points and grabs 6-8 rebounds, being a big-time offensive rebounder at the off-guard position.
  • Kevon Looney(GSW) had 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 1 steal in the last game. Looney has been a big-time rebounder recently and with Green out, his workload has increased on him quite a bit. Kevon can clinch 10-12 rebounds a game these days.
  • Jonathan Kuminga(GSW) had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal in the last game. Kuminga has scored 10+ points in three games straight now and the big can get more minutes with Green out.  Can he sustain the current rhythm?
  • Cory Joseph(DET) had 21 points, 7 assists, 2 rebounds in the last game. Cory has scored 16 or more in three of the last five games while dishing 4-7 assists regularly.
  • Killian Hayes(DET) had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block in the last game. Hayes has struggled once again in terms of efficiency but can dip in 5-9 points and 3-5 assists a game.
  • Otto Porter Jr.(GSW) had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists in the last game. Otto has been scoring in the 6-9 points range while grabbing 4-6 rebounds a game regularly.
  • Nemanja Bjelica(GSW) had 8 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal in the last contest. Bjelica has been in this range usually.
  • Gary Payton II(GSW) had 5 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist in the last contest. Gary has seen his minutes reduced since Klay has been in the starting lineup. Is this his production limit?
  • Jordan Poole(GSW) had 5 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound in the last contest. It is unfortunate that Poole’s minutes will dip with Klay’s return, the guard will now struggle to sustain the earlier 16-22 points range on a regular basis.
  • Isaiah Stewart(DET) had 5 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal in the last game. Stewart has usually scored 5-6 points and clasps 6-8 rebounds.
